I took a while but it's now official. Sebastien Boucher's contract has been sold by les Capitales to the Phillies.

Les Capitales have just signed a venezuelan pitcher, Rayner Oliveros. Should be LS-3 or LS-4. He's slated as # 3 or 4 starter... but it's early days yet.

Glad to hear it. Nice to see the Caps fading back into the pack.

Speaking of the pack, have the LL Bean Boulders signed anyone yet? And from what I can tell Sussex is still sitting on 10-11 players including Caleb Stewart.

Ivan Naccarata has just announced his retirement. His bat will be missed...but not his glove!

But don't expect les Capitales to "fade back into the pack" just yet!

Pat Deschenes (veteran) could be back from a lower back problem and they will add Eric Munson (veteran) a former major leaguer if he doen't get a contract in affiliated ball. He has a little more power than Pete LaForest who hit 9 HR in 32 games in 2010!

Those are a couple of key ifs to be counting on for next season, Bonhomme. After spring training Can-Am rosters will fill out nicely and if not one of these guys, no doubt the Caps will score an impact player from somewhere.

Looks like Brockton continues to scout Australia for talent. They just landed this guy: http://web.theabl.com.au/stats/stats...pbp&pid=599753. Not much to go on, but interesting nonetheless.

Only problem this guy has is keeping the ball in the park. Is the Australian league full of power hitters?

Hopefully it's a problem that continues on into summer. His strikeout to walk ratio is 3-1 though. It's only 38 innings, but still....not bad.

There are some legit prospects down there, but the homers mainly come from having some mall ballparks. The Melbourne right field porch is about 250'.

Ya the parks are tiny, but the peripherals on Tetsu Nishikawa are good. And he is only 23.

If true, and looking at the game-by-game stats, seems to be the reason. 5 of the 6 HRs he gave up were at home in Melbourne. Looks like the Rox found a good one.

Also see he's 178 cm tall. That's about 5'10" in American. I still remember Hideki Nagasaka pitching two great games against Ottawa in 2008 (he won a game 1-0) and did well that year. His problem not getting into organized baseball may be his 5'6" stature.

I never had a doubt that he will be replaced with a quality player... especially with the growing reputation of Quebec as being THE place to play indy ball!
