Default New teams in ifl?

My local paper announced today that the IFL has accepted teams from Chicago, Greenbay and Macon? Anyone know if these are expansion teams or pre-exisiting teams. I know one may be the Green Bay Blizzard.

Here's the link:

Chicago - Probably the Slaughter.
Green Bay - Probably the Blizzard, though they'll likely need a new name if Gridiron Enterprises continues its trend of maintaining its properties...
Macon - That would sound more like 2010 SIFL territory...still, if the IFL successfully lures over the Albany, GA market, Macon is a natural! (Macon-Albany rivalries tend to work out very well)

If true, Bloomington has to be doing backflips with Chicago, Green Bay and La Crosse now in easy driving distance.

AIFA has Macon Knights team... any rumors of them being unhappy in AIFA? They are purdy darn expensive there.

New IFL teams

In an owners meeting Thursday, the IFL approved franchises in five cities: Amarillo, Texas; Austin, Texas; Chicago; Green Bay, Wis.; and Macon, Ga.

The league, which had 19 teams in 2009, has already added the Arctic Predators of Wasilla, the La Crosse (Wis.) Spartans, and the Richmond (Va.) Revolution.

To take part in the 2010 season, the expansion teams will need to meet certain criteria — the main hurdle of which is getting a contract with a local arena — before the IFL creates its schedule.

1. The Macon Knights were an af2 team, never an AIFA one.
2. They haven't played a down since 2006.

I'll kinda miss 7on7, but that disappointment is softened by knowing I dont have to give up my annual treks to GBY's Resch Center - just more cheesehead booty for the Slaughter to whoop up on.

The AIFA team called the Knights are from Ogden Utah.
