I don't see Mario Kinsey on the roster. I am just blind or is he not there?

there are 2 versions of the roster out - one on the PBL site, and one at usbasket.com which was apparently provided by the Manchester GM
Mario Kinsey's on the one provided by Manchester... he's one of 3 players that differ on the 2 lists

I heard Mario is on the Sasquatch but could not join the team this weekend which is why he is not listed yet.

But it won't be the same roster; knowing Mr.Destin, I suspect a few of the faces will be Sasquat'ch players from earlier in the season, and many will be local players from previous Matrix/Royal seasons... but I haven't gotten a confirmed roster yet so I can't say for sure.

spoke too hastily... it turns out that Mr.Bourassa is holding on to the rights to the name Montreal Sasquat'ch and to the logo - the team will for the rest of the season be known as Team Montreal, and will pick a new name for next season (assuming they make it to next season)

it was the same when the Matrix changed to the Royal, and then back to the Matrix - the old owner has to give up the rights, since they (presumably) paid for the rights in the first place
or, you have to buy out the franchise... but then you end up responsible for all the old debts, too.
really annoying/confusing for fans, though - 5 team names in 4 seasons, in two leagues... geez

Hey, I just read your blog. Cool stuff. This comment from a Montreal player is really telling about the PBL:
Quote:
This whole Sasquatch thing is a disaster. It shows how selfish everyone can be. From owners who conceal the truth to players to get them to play for free (that smells like slavery) to the league itself. PBL plays nice but refuse to return my calls or my emails (I’m not the only one in this situation). The players were selfish also, but is it possible to blame their actions on the court when you realize how they were treated. One guys outsmarted evryone though. I forgot his name, but after two days with the team, he went all the way back home cause he knew the team was going to fold. I guess he had a solid minor league experience! The rest of us were like slaves, playing hard with nothing in the stomach to get some stats hoping to find a better deal somewhere. That’s why everyone was selfish on this court. Everyone was trying to keep his dream alive. The league and the owners knew that, and kept on using us as slaves! I saw US players go three days without eating a true meal because they would not give us our per deam money!
The Sasquatch made a player come all the way from the US (who did not have a US passport). Then kicked him out of the team without even paying him. I’m not even sure if the guy can go back home!
In the midst of all that, the PBL seems to be only interested in its image. They want people in the gym, so they get a new ownership for MTL. All that knowing that Bourassa put up a lot to get the team started. They even todl him to start the season and they would help financially! They haven’t help anyone.
The PBL is obviously not a serious league. Montreal has a terrible basketball past, but they still let a team come here! I guess they thought the market was big, and there was money to be made here. I hate the fact that The PBL tries to conserve its image while they are not paying us. They use young men aspirations to make money, but we were treated like slaves.
The PBL and the MTL Sasquatch are two terrible organizations. As a former Montreal player who did not receive his salary, I would love to see a worker’s movement. Something like a player strike would be smart. But, I’m realsitic, I know this won’t happen. So I’m calling for a fan boycott of the PBL and its events until they pay coaches and players.

a lot of what he said I already knew - what I found most surprising, though, was how two-faced the league seems to be... if this is supposed to be a better league, how do you tell the public you're going to take care of the players, and then not even return their phone calls?
