Default Great 8 Invitational a Charity event

Press Release from ABA

With the great amount of interest in the ABA Great 8 Championship in Quebec, I have decided to allow anyone who has a basketball team to apply to play in the great 8, said A stoic Joe N. I cannot ignore the requests of teams from all over the world, he said. Therefore, Any one having a basketball team, YMCA, YWCA, AAU, Colleges, High Schools, Grade Schools, factories and week-end goup of guys in the driveway, all can pay-2-play. The cost is , of course 10K and if you win it all you automatically can be in the ABA next year. One dollar from every 10k raised will go to Brad's back payroll taxes. So kids, ask your mom and dad for that 10K and send to me,Joe N. Please note in your application if you have a winning record, if so, you will not be allowed to play Vermont. The deadline is 5 minutes before tip-off to the Great 8, if sent in after the tip-off then there is a 5k late fee.
Your chance to buy your own trophy and win A rec league title, DONT MISS IT! As ALex Wolf might say, of sports Illustrated, who owns a team. "ABA? I see no problems." so what are you waiting for??
( CAshiers checks get you in ASAP, Please Make checks out to " ABA CARES For KIDS Inc." )

Maybe Joe can let in this team from his the photos on his info-mercial-istic website.

I love how they are described as a "team" from "European International School", no name, no country, nothing. Of course Joe doesn't care who they are, they are too young to come up with 10k.

I dig number 5's haircut too. That white-fro is impressive. I honestly think that Vincent Bernier from Quebec better log on travelocity and find out about flights from Indiana. As Fort Wayne's Best might be coming to town.

Due to numerous threats of legal action from certain people.......all of the above is my opinion only and it should be noted that I have never invested in the ABA. It is simply one mans opinion.

I looked through those photos on the ABA site. Of 50some photos, 40 or so are of teams that no longer exist. The Lincoln Thunder? The Charlotte Krunk? The Niagara Daredevils?

Some of the captions are from 2005 and reference the "upcoming 2005-06 season"

Too funny!
