Ask The Ceo - All-star Teams?
ABA News
ASK THE CEO - ALL-STAR TEAMS?
03-Mar-2008
http://www.abalive.com/news/releases...=2008030306002
Question from Many: "When will you be announcing the ABA All Star teams?"
Quote:

Answer: Thanks for the questions. It is really gratifying to know that there are so many people interested in the ABA All Star teams.
|
LOL, a plethora of interested people ... Yeah I bet! ... Kind of like that movie - "Semi-Pro"

With such interest, I have no doubt that the ABA All Star Game that will be held in Barre, Vermont, the home of the ABA defending Champion Vermont Frost Heaves, on Saturday, March 22nd will be a great success.
|
Only because of the Vermont organization. The ABA League office has nothing to do with anything that measures up ...

We have chosen the ABA All Star teams; we are now in the process of confirming their ability to play in the game. Several have made commitments to international teams and we want to be sure they are available prior to making the announcements. We should have this information in the next two days and then will begin making the announcements.
|
Nice, select all your All-Stars, but then none of them can play.
And I find it more interesting ... Are these players not going to be around for the ABA playoffs in Quebec ???
But you are saying, these players have already made international commitments to leave and may not be able to participate in the All-Star game itself ... which is BEFORE the playoffs?
ABA CEO ... Pure Genius ... Sheer Brilliance!

I can tell you that the players selected are tremendous basketball players and we believe that they would be competitive against virtually any professional, college or international basketball teams outside of a few of the top NBA and international teams.
|
Uh, ABA CEO ... Remember ... You are "Semi-Pro" ... You just can't compete with true professional leagues!

And fans will be just as impressed this year with the selections. It will be a great game, and unlike other All Star Games, this game will be hotly contested because these players give 100% every time they walk on the court.
|
Hmm ... Interesting, being that you have not confirmed the All-Stars yet.
You might then, only have an All-Star roster that only gives 85% ... Shameful!

If you are near Vermont on the 21st and 22nd (and many of you are), get your tickets now because this game will be an absolute sell out.
|
Right you are ABA CEO ... 99% of the people attending the ABA All-Star game will be from Vermont --- DUH!

With all of the fiction and half-truths that Joe used to answer this question.
Why didn't he mention the game being on the internet??? I would think that
being in Vermont, the only ABA team using PlayOn, it would be broadcast.
In any other instance, he would have said it over and over....
Like the games from Singapore

So, according to the Gwizz, "6"7 foward Mike Davis" is only 6 inches 7 (whatever that might be). Why is he a forward then?
"the team co-captain was a consistent ballplayer" When did he stop being consistant?

Honored to have been the 13th player for the Vermont Frost Heaves game on 2-16-07 against the Maryland Nighthawks.
The ABA is the basketball equivalent of Amp'd Mobile.

That's because it was short. Much like the 6.7-inch foward, apparently.

Due to numerous threats of legal action from certain people.......all of the above is my opinion only and it should be noted that I have never invested in the ABA. It is simply one mans opinion.
