Default Cifl/Aifa champion Should Take on Ifl/Uif Champion

Wow, great move for indoor football;however, cifl and aifa should get to gether. Then the winners of those 2 games would have the real Indoor football championship.Let the aifa and cifl play on July 26th. Following week should be the championship.awesome.

Why would you have the winner of the #3 and #4 seed game play the winner of the #1 and #2 seed game?

Think again. Ill give you the sioux falls team is very good. The ifl is on par with the other leagues. The Cifl has very good teams.Rochester just signed another great player;a first team UIF allstar of a year ago . Lakeland was loaded with talent last year from the aifa, although they are history. If a real championship is to played get all the leagues together. Otherwise its a championship between 2 leagues . The best teams from the 4 major indoor leagues will showcase the NATIONAL INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIP. Besides what happens if the winner of the Cifl or Aifa challenges any of these other champions and puts up 100k for a Challenge match. If the other champions dont accept, what does that mean?...... If they refuse there national championship is a charade. You number 3 seed is a perception. You probably think the colts of the 60s were easily a twenty point favorite against the Namath led jets. .......As berman would say "thats why they play the games" The cifl and the Aifa can play with these teams .....period.

How about we figure out a way to not have teams fold during the season before we worry about a 100k challenge match?

What is it with you Rochester people and your big-money challenge matches? Is your ego really THAT big (and your brain that small) that you'd bet $100k on a meaningless indoor football game?

I'm still trying to figure out if the CIFL would have been better off letting you jump to another league this summer...

The aifa and the cifl can and should be given a chance to play anyone if they desire . Especially if leagues automatically think their competition is better . However, preeths is right about the folding aspect. Unfortunately, thats the predicament of the indoor football business. By the way, you may think its meaningless to play against the best competition;I dont. I think it can makes for a great second season. Also, when teams put all their heart ,soul and money into a championship season, they want to be considered among the best. The other leagues can do what they want but our league should try and get into the mix with them. The players ,coaches and owners would be extremely excited. The uif and ifl owners are excited about it for that reason.

If the leagues come to an agreement, so be it. But individual teams should not be scheduling their own games and throwing down challenges to other teams/leagues on their own. That's why you're a member of a league in the first place and not an independant.

You want to stick your Raiders in money matches all over the country that's your right... but pull out of the CIFL and play an independant schedule like a Notre Dame then.

If your league wants to "mix" with other indoor leagues then that's their prerogative, but I don't agree that that's the direction Jeff wants to take. At least it wasn't... You're supposed to be developmental, why align with other leagues (your competition BTW) at the same level when you should be trying to align with a league ABOVE your level to facilitate the flow of players upwards?

The best teams with the most prestige gets noticed for their players to move up.YOU make no sense to think, that the best teams want to sit around and watch other league's proclaim a self imposed national indoor championship. This is their version of a bcs championship .jeff should want to be involved for the players of the cifl champion, whomever thar will be.just my opinion

You're deluding yourself... I work for the Cavs @ Quicken Loans Arena - side-by-side with alot of the AFL Gladiators staff. When I bring up the indoor leagues they look at me like I have two noses. Most don't even know about, let alone respect or care about the Rochester Raiders. You don't even appear on the map.

Think of minor league baseball for a second... do the champions of the various leagues play each other to determine who the best minor league baseball team in the land is? No, because it's not necessary. Their goal is development and advancement of the players FIRST. Sure, they hold playoffs and determine a champ for their respective leagues, just like you do now, but who is the best among the league champions doesn't matter to them. It's a hollow crown, it holds no bearing or weight on how they evaluate their teams at the end of the season.

You have a big ego... a HUGE one in fact. THAT is your motivating factor here, not establishing the indoor equivalent of the BCS.

Just my opinion...

What is the reason teams put up thousands of dollars? Please tell me. Why do they start leagues ? Please tell me . Because all people have egos. They want to compete. fred Jackson and the bills know about indoor football...right. You seem to think that the cifl owners dont have egos or their egos are to big because they want to play against the best. give me a break. What you dont understand because you never did squat was we want to improve ourselves. Yes ego is part of it ....so what. You dont have a pro football team if you dont want to make the best of your team and your town. Oh by the way,the nfl thinks the AFL is a joke too. should they or the Cfl just pack up their bags and go. .. By the way ,it wasnt the Cfl who came up with this crappy excuse of a National championship;it wasnt the raiders either. The team that becomes the cifl champion deserves a chance at these teams in other leagues, if its approved.by Jeff.....For themselves not guys like you,who has no say in any league. .....right.
