It sounds like arena issues drove this and arena and team management at times were a grand cluster snuggle

Alaska Aces will also cease operations after this season. With the addition of Jacksonville & Worcester, the league will remain at 27 teams for 2018-19. The addition of a team in Portland, Maine is still in negotiations. A realignment is likely.

The Federal Hockey League's new senior men's league, the IDHL, has already announced they're putting a team in Elmira.

Still, if the ECHL is losing money there, how do they think a team two levels of play down from the ECHL is going to make money?

Robster, on the mark the senior league featuring players in their mid to late 20's and early 30's won't find any full arena dates, and barely any of those guys will move up. So the normal semi pro crowd of 75 people mostly girl friends and family buying tickets will be supporting the league.

Which means the teams will struggle, but maybe that's all the league is about anyway. Good luck they will need it...

it always seems like the league always comes close to getting up to their goal of 30 teams only to have one or two teams fold or move to a different league.

By spending way less?
