Default Syracuse Slam

Possible PBL team in Syracuse, New York. Pending approval of dates at the Onondaga Arena ( seats 6,000). No high school gyms in the PBL so far..probably wont be. Joe must be getting high blood pressure seeing Doyle do things right. Lets see which high school gym the Syracuse Bullies ( ABA) wind up playing at. If they play at all...I hear there are some problems with the bullies...its called, needing funds to play.

There was a quote from the Orange county owner that was hilarious, " we will start small by using a high school gym" LOL. FOr a rec league thats about right.

Remember when the New England Patriots started in the 60's, they played all home games at elementary school no. 16 in Boston. NOT !!..... LOL

I thought the Bullies were going to play at the Arena?...But you're right, the PBL WOULD be a much better fit.

The owner of the OC Gladiators is crazy. Putting a team up in a very remote location of Orange County where the residents of Aliso Viejo are just people that make over 85k per year the minimum as a household. That team is a better fit cities such as Santa Ana, Costa Mesa (Fairgrounds Arena) Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, Golden West College, UC IRVINE, UC FULLERTON, Chapman, Concordia, Redlands, Vanguard (Colleges/Universities) also Orange County has a ton of things to do. look at the Anaheim Arsenal they pump the hell out of the team in the OC and people barely show up because theres the Ducks and Amusement Parks and fairs and the beach and an active sports life in regards of recreational youth and adult leagues of any sport.

It's actually Cal State Fullerton, but I agree completely with your assessment, having previously lived near OC in the past. The OC is an upper middle class-to-very wealthy area. Most of those people will show no interest in anything other than major league sports. You have to remember that the OC population is VERY materialistic and VERY status-driven. Going to an ABA game at a high school gym would be a social faux-paux for these people. You MIGHT have a chance if you play at a college in one of the larger towns where you have the college crowd, but playing in Aliso Viejo is not a smart move at all. This team will not survive its first year in the ABA.

I think Oxnard would be a MUCH better choice (Maybe it would be a better home for Las Cometas)
