Baltimore back in 2012
I know a lot of the fans of the Mariners will be happy to hear that indoor football is coming back in 2012. I spoke to John Morris before the game and he came on our broadcast at halftime and announced that he had an agreement with 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore for 2012. No official word on the name of the team.

Hey that's catchy. $5 says Morris goes with that.

Great news the Mariners are coming back, horrible news that JM is involved. The Mariners woulda been better suited with the rumored ownership group that had ties to the Baltimore Ravens.

You nailed it Gene. Morris is a terrible owner. At the Stampede games if the ball goes out of bounds and a fan catches it, security takes the ball back and gives it to the ref.

Well we all saw how he managed the AIFA. I never agreed with a league owner owning a team and cheering on that teams bench.

I heard the announcement on your broadcast Sat night. I would have liked to have heard you put him on the spot and ask him what that means for the future of Harrisburg. I already know the answer but I want to hear it come from him. I'm grateful for JM bringing indoor football to Harrisburg, but things were never done the right way.

That actually didn't cross my mind. I have not heard anything that says Harrisburg is going away. That was one of the great things about last season's AIFA having Baltimore, Reading, Erie, Harrisburg, etc. all so close.
I also have to say across the board the former AIFA teams have done well. Erie and Richmond are leading their divisions and even in the IFL Reading just clinched and Wyoming has been doing pretty well.

The attendance in harrisburgh has always been awful due to lack of PR there in the area. With attendance figures of 300-500 per game i dont see how they could survive.
While Erie & Richmond are doin good i dont agree about Reading & Wyoming. Reading (7-3) hasnt beaten a team with a winning record yet. They beat LV 1- 8 4 times, Richmond Revolution 1- 8 2 times & the Arizona Adrenaline (0-10) one time. When they played Green bay (7-2) they got blown out by around 40 points. I will defend them to the point that they can only play who they were scheduled to play so its not their fault they played all the weaker teams. As far as Wyoming, they are 5-4 and hardly dominating in the IFL as they used to in the AIFA. But both Reading & Wyoming have very good and stable ownership and fan/community support.
I hope Harrisburgh survives but it wont with currrent ownership.

Oh and the smilies above should be 8. Must be a glitch in the software here turning 8's into smilies .

When you put an 8 right next to a ) it comes back a sunglassed smiley.
Reading will be fine - IFL's (A) a lot tougher and (B) Reading did lose a pretty fair starting QB.
