Major League Football, a professional football developmental league, will play their inaugural season in Spring 2018. Led by President / CEO
Jerry C. Craig, Major League Football is holding its initial league meetings at the Renaissance Hotel in Austin, Texas. Meetings were held this week to determine the future of the budding league.
The league’s objective is to be a developmental league that services professional football leagues in North America. The MLFB is geared to developing players that would like to continue their dreams of playing professional football.

“We see this as an opportunity to feed the nation’s thirst for football,” Craig said. “We look to give players the tools they need to improve their craft, receive professional development and get a look at continuing their dreams of playing professionally.”

Teams will be made up of players who were recently released from NFL camps. The league will hold the first draft in early 2018 to fill their first-year rosters.

The league is committed to providing players with development from former NFL coaches Dave Campo, Ted Cottrell, Galen Hall, Larry Kirksey, Wayne "Buddy" Geis, and Robert Ford to name a few that have committed to the league’s development.
MLFB will play its initial season in eight metropolitan areas around the United States. Locations will be voted on in Austin this week and will be announced at a later date.

Edited version to specifically highlight these flaws in the business plan.

About Major League Football, Inc.
Major League Football was founded in December 2014. Based on football’s potential TV ratings and game attendance, MLFB plans to launch its inaugural season in the spring of 2018. Eight non-NFL and non-MLB cities will be awarded franchises throughout the United States. League offices will be located in Huntington Beach, Calif. and Lakewood Ranch, Fla, where team tryouts, the player draft and pre- season training will be held.

1.The bases for the league is [potential TV ratings]
2. Game attendance
3. And a vote to play in non league [cities]
4. Draft:confused:

Yes sir yet another I don't know anything about organizing a sports business venture, it will be more successful than any league ever period!

New ownership, same bogus deal.

They're clearly not very bright, so I guess they think there are suckers as dumb as them...

The nation's thirst is for NFL football, not just any football.

As we have seen, those dreams continue long after they should be given up. You don't need to fund a league for guys like Wello Songz to believe they can actually play football. They will believe it no matter what.

Name one of those players who people would pay to go see.

So all those guys who got drafted before DIDN'T GET TO HOLD ONTO THEIR SPOTS?

Calling it right now: they won't actually play in eight metropolitan areas around the United States in the spring of 2018.

Gee.......Doggone it Sam..........

You ruined everyone's suspense.

Sans the few posters who still troll around believing this, any other "fantasy" leagues will actually reach a playing field.

OSC really needs to consider a "Planned league's that are not workable" category to its message boards.

M l f b 2018

Wonder if they go the one location, form 8 teams route to get their "season" going?

Agree that the likelihood of an actual season taking place is a good as most of our odds of getting hit by lightning but we can all dream, right?

We are six months away from April 1.

Nothing has been done. Hell, their website is yet to be active.

On October 4, they started protecting their Tweets.

Today, they released a new 8-K report which said the following:

Quote:

On October 4, 2017, MLFB terminated Frank Murtha, Senior Executive Vice President from all positions with MFLB. Mr. Murtha responded to his termination by questioning the financial assets of Jerry Craig, CEO and director. MFLB is investigating these claims despite Mr. Murtha’s improper activities at MFLB that led to his termination and the fact that Mr. Murtha, a disbarred attorney, personally conducted due diligence into Mr. Craig’s financial assets prior to Mr. Craig’s appointment as Director and CEO. Mr. Craig denies Mr. Murtha’s claims, and questions Mr. Murtha’s motive. Mr. Craig is fully cooperating in the investigation.

The departure of Mr. Murtha leaves Jerry C. Craig as the sole director and officer of MFLB. Mr. Craig is taking action to retain independent directors as soon as practical.

And just what are they fighting over:confused:

Appears its dead again, could it make an attempt to live again?

Be sure their will be another try, to get a little milk money from this lifeless thought to be cash cow.

Walking dead has nothing on the MLFB:eek:
