WHEELING, WV- The Wheeling Nailers played a perfect defensive game on Tuesday night, as they earned their third straight win over the Indy Fuel in the Central Division Semifinal Series. Jaxon Castor recorded a shutout with 20 saves and Jordan Martel scored twice, as Wheeling was triumphant, 3-0 at WesBanco Arena to take a 3-1 series lead. Early Outburst Guides Chiefs to Series-Opening Win
PEORIA, IL- The Peoria Chiefs did all of their scoring over the first four innings Tuesday in a 6-2 triumph over the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers at Dozer Park. Wisconsin drew first blood in the top of the second inning on a Leonardo Bernal throwing error to stake an early 1-0 lead. The Wisconsin advantage was brief, however. KANNAPOLIS, N.C. - Albertson Asigen tallied four RBI and RHP Drew McDaniel struck out eight as the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers earned their first win of the week on Tuesday night, 13-3, over the Charleston RiverDogs at Atrium Health Ballpark. Wappingers Falls, New York - Trevor Martin shined over 7.0 scoreless frames while the offense backed him up with seven runs on 11 hits in a 7-0 win for the Bowling Green Hot Rods (10-6) over the Hudson Valley Renegades (9-7) on Tuesday at Heritage Financial Park in Wappingers Falls, New York.
