Kansas City Mavericks Are the 2024 Mountain Division Champions
INDEPENDENCE, Mo. - For the first time in team history, the Kansas City Mavericks are Mountain Division Champions. It is the Mavericks second total division title in their ECHL history, after winning the Central Division in the 2015-16 season. The Mavericks entered Friday night needing to beat the Iowa Heartlanders at home and have Idaho lose in regulation. Both came true. 905 Sweep Motor City in Season Finale
Raptors 905 (13-21), the NBA G League affiliate of the Toronto Raptors, swept the season series against the Motor City Cruise (16-18) in the first of two matches, 116-102 in their 2023/24 season finale Friday evening. Darryl Morsell closed out the season with a 21-point, five rebounds, three assists, three steals, and two blocks. K-Wings Bark Back, Beat Cyclones 4-1
KALAMAZOO, MI - The Kalamazoo Wings (35-26-3-0), proud ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Vancouver Canucks, used stellar goaltending and four multi-point performances to defeat the Cincinnati Cyclones (28-31-6-0) in front of a sellout crowd (5,086) at Wings Event Center Friday, 4-1. Goaltender Jonathan Lemieux (16-16-2-0) was stellar and made 28 saves on 29 shots against. The rookie's efforts earned him the game's first star. Port Huron Makes Statement Against Binghamton
The Port Huron Prowlers took down the Empire-Division leading Binghamton Black Bears 4-1 at McMorran Place on March 29. It's the only matchup between the teams this season. "It was a compilation of our best efforts coming together," said Prowlers head coach Matt Graham. "We played a disciplined brand of hockey, we didn't stray from it all night.
