Comets Win in OT, Sweep Wave, and Are on to Finals

INDEPENDENCE, MO. - The Comets (4-0-0) withstood a huge comeback by Milwaukee consisting of seven fourth quarter goals by the visitors, to defeat the Wave 8-7 in overtime to sweep the Eastern Conference Finals in front of 3,837 fans at Cable Dahmer Arena Monday night. The teams appeared to be heading toward a scoreless first quarter until Lucas Sousa sent a pass high off the back glass and Christian Anderaos was able to one-time a shot past a diving William Banahene to give the Comets a 1-0 lead with just nine seconds left to play in the opening frame. Mavericks Sweep Tulsa Oilers in Round 1, Advance to Mountain Division Finals

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. - After a dominating 4-0 series sweep over the Tulsa Oilers, the Kansas City Mavericks have advanced to the second round of the 2024 Kelly Cup Playoffs. The Mavericks will take on the winner of the Idaho-Allen series and Game 1 of the Mountain Division Finals will be on May 4 at Cable Dahmer Arena. Addamo Wins Game Three in Overtime for Wheeling

WHEELING, WV - Postseason overtime is as exciting as it gets, and the Wheeling Nailers gave their fans a taste of that in their first home game of the 2024 Kelly Cup Playoffs. Justin Addamo made the extra session a quick one, as he needed just 30 seconds to slide his right circle one-timer in over the goal line, lifting the Nailers to the 3-2 victory and 2-1 series lead over the Indy Fuel in the Central Division Semifinal Series at WesBanco Arena.
