View Full Version : X lose another
The Xplosion lost another in Minot, 118-100. Now the next stop is Lawton, on Monday where we can hopefully find another win. It would help if Shawn Fountain could return to the line-up. And John Strickland has to return to his scoring touch. I'm sure the Cavs will look better than when they visited. It should be a tough two games.

are we sure fountain is returning? Like i stated in another post, Fountain seemed content during his recent road swing through Pikeville, but he did mention some other teams wanting him to come play for them
He seemed fine, when he was doing autographs with John DeGroat, as I welcomed him to Pgh after a loss to Yakama in the first half of the season and I noticed how valuable he was to our team. As I also stated, he wanted to come to play under head coach Carlos Knox, so I see no reason why he would want to leave, especially with the way the Xplosion have been playing lately, he has been a large part of that. With him, the X would not have been blown out in Minot.
Unfortunately, the Xplosion give no mention of transactions, like they used to. I can only hope it has something to do with an injury. I did email the Xplosion asking about hiim so hopefully I will get a reply.

If He Were Injured He Would Be Placed On "injured Reserve" When You Leave To Play In France You Are Placed On "inactive Reserve".
if I don't take your word for it, sunkings. I know that we did have Antonio Graves left for France, but information was provided for him, which is why I find it hard to believe that Fountain left. If he had, I think it would have been in a news release.

France was what he mentioned to me in Pikeville also, but I didnt want to violate that personal communication. but since sunkings put it out.. he did mention France
to me is that he is still listed on the roster. Until/unless that changes, anything posted on here is just irrevelent.

sunkings, it seems we have been called irrelevant....lol
PSBF, just thought I would share the information with you regarding your team that was told to me personally by Shaun...
i won't make that mistake again.
your input, ot. Probably more than most others on here. It's good that you talked with Shawn and I don't want to sound like I'm putting you down.

thanks for the above... I know you are just supporting your team and if more in Pitt would step up the team could do much more I think... it is the same here in small-market Pikeville.. despite a quality product it hasnt been as well-received as I had hoped it might be.
expected the Expo Center to be packed. While I feel the Miners do have a decent average for a beginning team, I think they can get more fans in based on the webcasts that I've seen. But I think the Miners have done well in making appearances to promote the team. As the saying goes about Rome.
As far as the Xplosion, I have seen advertisements in publications, so I know they are promoting. I still feel that that they can do more, though. Having only 6 home games left is limiting, though-two of which are against your Miners.
In my original post I had mentioned that the Xplosion visit Oklahoma on Monday. I just noticed they visit Lawton on Sunday at 5:05, and again on Monday at 8:35.
