Hey everybody, just registered. I didn't realize how difficult it was to find out some of the history of the CBA online...even on the CBA's website. I was also surprised to find out they didn't have a messageboard on their website. It might help the league itself to have a fan forum, and to help get the word out to raise attendance, IMO.

Anywho...I'm in the process of gathering info about Manute Bol, the 7'7" former NBA center, and I've found out that he had a brief stint in the CBA in '95, with the Florida Beachdogs. Does anyone know where I can get some stats and/or info about his time there?

The only game stat I've been able to find was a game the Beachdogs won against the Sioux Falls Skyforce, 112-99 on December 6, 1995...Bol went 0-0, with 2 rebounds and 6 blocked shots in 13 minutes. Can anyone help me out?

I have been able to get full season (not game) stats for his Rhode Island Gulls stint in the USBL. In fact, I have a stat sheet for the whole 1985 Gulls team, if anyone wants me to post it. This was the team that had Bol, Spud Webb, and John Williams playing for it.

In closing, I think it'd be cool if there were a website that kept stats for the non-NBA basketball leagues. I'm also a fan of Dominique Wilkins, and I'm trying to get his stats for when he played in Greece and Italy. Manute also had some playing time over seas, in Italy and Qatar, as well. If I had the time and computer knowledge, I'd be interested in doing the site...but I don't see that happening for a long time.
