”JAX CROX” JOINS GLOBAL BASKETBALL ALLIANCE FOR 2008 SEASON!
(Jacksonville, Florida) (January 22, 2008)- The Jax Crox, of Jacksonville, Florida, have been accepted as a member of the GBA-the Global Basketball Alliance, LLC, (an affiliate of the ABA-the American Basketball Association), headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia.
”We are excited that the “Jax Crox” is our newest team-and the first partner team since the PBA-the Pro Basketball America, LLC group came aboard. Without the PBA, we could not have made this happen.” states the Don “Moose” Lewis, Managing Member of the GBA. “It is my opinion that the GBA and its Managing Members of the team licensee LLC’s have the greatest partnership in basketball today. The GBA is now able to find the best qualified individual to run day to day operations of a team with the backing of the league-yet the Managing Member of the team has the opportunity to take over one hundred per cent (100%) of the team based on their performance. This program is simply incredible!”
The Jacksonville Team Licensee is Pure Scouting Basketball, LLC with Managing Member Scott M. Cooper handling day to day operations. Coach Cooper brings an impressive background and work ethic to the GBA. He is the former Coach and Personnel Director of the ABA’s Jacksonville Jam and guided them to a “Power Ranking” of Number One among all teams. He also is an experienced AAU coach and played college basketball at Palm Beach Atlantic University and Tallahassee Community College. “Coach Coop” continues to hold youth camps in order to teach basketball fundamentals and further develop the skills of young players. “I am so pleased and proud to partner with the GBA for a team in Jacksonville. I know that the fans crave affordable fan friendly quality professional basketball and the Crox will be bringing just that as well as players with genuine interest in being involved with the community. In my opinion, the GBA offers the best developmental basketball league in the country today-not only talent wise but with their program of profit sharing among teams.”
Teams in the GBA are regionalized and the schedule takes advantage of multiple teams in a division that drastically reduces travel. All teams play a twenty-four (24) game balanced schedule with games played predominantly on weekends and a one game championship between division winners. The season runs from May through July. Teams expected in the Crox’s division include Atlanta, Georgia; Daytona Beach, Florida; Orlando, Florida; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and Hickory, North Carolina.
For more information about the Jax Crox, email Scott Cooper at coop@JaxCrox.com or telephone him at (904) 226-0250 or for more information about the GBA and teams available, email Moose Lewis at teams@GBAhoops.com or telephone him at (404) 808-9268
