How NOT to be successfull in the ABA...

Taken from the MOTOWN JAMMERS press release (their personnel):

George "Iceman" Gervin, Sr., President
Antoine Joubert, Asst. General Manager
Charles E. Craig, Jr., VP Business Operations
Gwendolyn Titus, VP Marketing
Derrick Bryant, VP Personnel
Steve Smith, Dir of Operations & Equipment
Matt Ulanoff, Dir of Media Relations
Brendan Rooney, Dir of Player Personnel
Darryl Greene, Dir of Scouting
Rashawanda C. Mathis, Adm Assistant
Rick Sanders, Office Manager
Eric Watson, Head Coach
Bill Jones, Asst. Coach
Darryl Boyd, Head Statistician
Steven Salters, Trainer

Kind of a large payroll for a minor league team isn't it??

Also, from the same release..

Willis also stated, "Our veterans camp will be starting shortly and we are pleased to be able to have it at the University of Michigan - Dearborn Fieldhouse, 4901 Evergreen Road in Dearborn. The public is invited to meet and see our players in action. The date will be announced shortly."

I would hope the dates are announced shortly, the season starts in 19 days!!! Time to get a team together.

While you are at it, how about finding a venue and building a website??

You can have as big an organization as you want if you don't actually PAY people.

The problem only arises on the first and fifteenth when people want to get paid.

My wife attended the Gervin family reunion in August of this year in San Antonio, TX. George is one of her many cousins (if George had light brown eyes and thinning dark blonde hair, then he would look just like my wife's dad).

Based on the events of this family reunion and without getting TOO personal, I have reason to believe that George Gervin has no role with the Motown Jammers.

My favorite part of the release is that Titus is now the "VP of Marketing". She apparently has been promoted from "marketing director". How do I get a job where you can do absolutly nothing within a job description and get promoted?

Still no website, roster, marketing of any form, tickets on sale, or a way to buy them if they were. 18 days and counting........

What a freakin' joke this team is. Well they ARE in the aba.
