GLOBAL BASKETBALL ALLIANCE NAMES DIRECTOR OF NORTHWEST TEAM DEVELOPMENT

21-Jan-2008
Atlanta, GA -- The Global Basketball Alliance (GBA), proudly announces that Chuck Tyler has been chosen to lead the GBA's and WGBA's northwest team expansion.

"In the same spirit of the westward expansion achieved by our great nation in the 1840's, the GBA and WGBA ushers in a new era of world-class spring/summer basketball entertainment for fans in the northwestern US and Canada," stated GBA Managing Member, Don "Moose" Lewis.

Mr. Tyler, a US Army combat veteran, has successfully led organizations in a sports sales and marketing capacity. His most recent accomplishments include the raising of over $100,000 in sponsorships for a second year professional basketball team as well as attracting companies such as Land Rover to place product in upcoming mixed martial arts motion picture.

"We are excited to bring aboard someone of Chuck's talents," added Lewis. "He brings not only his unbridled enthusiasm to the GBA and WGBA, but a unique sponsorship and funding program for all our teams. It is as close to a guarantee of success as I have ever seen."

All teams are regionalized so that scheduling will take advantage of their close proximity and therefore drastically reduce travel expenses. Teams play a 24 game balanced schedule with games played predominantly on weekends whenever possible. At the conclusion of the regular season, which runs from May through July, division winners play a single elimination game with a one game championship game to follow. An All-Star Game Weekend in August culminates the GBA and WGBA year.
