I interviewed the UFL Commissioner for a second time today and found him just as brilliant as the last time we spoke. I will have a good bit of info for you all next week - but in the mean time let me say that an announcement will occur in the first week of February and that lots of things have been done behind the scenes.

Look for my article this coming week... =)

I agree that Sacramento needs a team!

1. Even though the Kings are in the NBA's smallest market, the fans still come out.
2. The River Cats have led all of minor-league baseball in attendance for the past seven years (all seven that they've been in the Sac)

It'll be linked from OSC if it is not posted through OSC. I am working out the distribution at the moment.

Rest assured folks all is well with the UFL - unlike other endeavors they want to make sure everything is lined up before they announce anything to the public. This will change shortly. =)

Ummm, yeah lets look at unrelated sports 'cause we'll draw some parallel...WTF!!!???? LOOK AT THE WLAF AND CFL NUMBERS...duh.

I reread this....I dont mean to be a jerk, but Im a big proponent of the success of those two leagues and also the XFL (Vegas) and get irratated when people overlook the facts of some of the teams.

Actually, Salt Lake City is the NBA's smallest city. Now Sac-town might be the smallest as far as TV market size, but then again....we are splitting hairs here. LOL Salt Lake City's TV market size is small as well, but it covers the largest area. (the entire state of Utah, and portions of southern Idaho, western colorado, southwest Wyoming, and portions of eastern Nevada). As far as Sac getting a team....something has to be done about the stadium at Sacramento State.
