What's the difference?

The league you're in is the difference, more specifically the support from that league.

But, they have become one in the same based on a long history in other league(s).

There may still be trouble smoldering in Jax of some sort (I believe the majority is not financial), but there are only 8 weeks left in the season, and it is worth it for the league to fund those 8 weeks (if necessary).

BTW, I am told it is not necessary. Still, there is much more the story I believe.

I have a hypothesis that will dispute the "it's not financial" commentary.

The ego theory, IMO = "Dude, you told me I'd be making money by now." In other words, financial.

By contrast, the owners who "admit" financial problems probably suffer more from incompetence.

(Please note: taking me serious is, well, only advisable with seasoning. However, I'm not too sure I'm that far off the mark.)

If they thought they'd be making money 4 games into the season of a new league, then I would agree there is total incompetence.

And let me take a step back from a prior comment just a bit because I do believe that IT IS ALWAYS ABOUT MONEY. I just am not sure in this case it is about not having it, but perhaps about not wanting to spend it on basketball. It would have been nice to make this decision before play started if in fact that is what happened.
