In an extremely stunning development, based on the actions of last Saturday's matchup between the Vermont Frost Heaves and the Manchester Millrats, the Millrats have announced that they are immediately trading 6'11" center Ife Anosike to the #1 team in the ABA, the Utica Wreckers, for center Schultz Dooley. Dooley was originally placed on inactive reserve by the Wreckers after the center was caught in a sting operation that landed the 53-year-old Utica fan favorite on Dateline NBC.
"We were short a center and needed someone in the post for our upcoming trip to Singapore next week," said ABA spokesperson Abia Ausichser, who notes that the team is 25-0 due to games scheduled against the Wreckers with opponents that have folded being credited as forfeits for the Mohawk Valley-based franchise. "I was sitting at home watching the Vermont-Manchester game on ABA Vision PlayOn! - a division of Turner Sports - when I saw the fight. Then I saw the second fight. Then I saw the third fight, when this guy Anosike punched the kid Nelson from Vermont in the back of the head. Now that's good defense, I must say."
So as to avoid a possible suspension, Anosike will join the Wreckers on their trip to Singapore to face the Olympian January 21-22.
