With people bandying about the "R-word", don't be surprised if Cuban isn't getting any more than 2 or 3 other owners on board. Don't be surprised if this waits a year or more.

Of course, if he's got 7 other owners or at least 7 other teams, that's another thing. This does not feel like a good year to start a league in any sport, especially one with the costs of football.

Some people have been saying the UFL will be making an announcement in the next week or two.

They've really done a fine job of keeping the UFL a secret. This isn't a good sign. I can only speculate that there is nothing to report.

While I do see the sense in that, it's hard not to wish that the UFL would be a little more forthcoming with information; like updating their website to let us know when they expect to make the annoucement of the inaugural season's teams.
