If your married, continue to read, it will make sense.

Heard from a good source that when some of the Northeast teams wanted to bolt out of the ABA and go to the PBL ,Mrs. ALex had a fit. She actually yelled at an owner of an ABA east team that they have no right to leave the ABA and that all the teams should stay in the ABA. I was told she was YELLING to emphasize her point.

Now, to us married gents. What subject matter gets the wife all emotional?

Was Mrs Alex, 1. Worried about the ABA and the prestige it carries?
2. Wanted to retain credibility that they would stay in the
ABA no matter how badly run?
3. Wanted to defend the rec league championship?

IMO she was emotional because if the ABA collapsed so would what ever deal ALex had cooked up that affected the family INCOME. $$$$$$$$
Thats it, plain and simple. Think about maried guys and you know thats the reason. NO ABA - no book deal or what ever deal ALex has in staying in the ABA.

Mrs ALex " YOU BETTER NOT LOSE THAT BOOK DEAL" Alex. " I wont dear"
LOL....................

Why,even if true, would you bring in Alex's wife into the mix. Stick to factual stories not fanciful conjecture. jack

I'm with Utah here -
no need for Alex's wife to be part of this discussion

really, anymore than Connie Newman should be included as often as she is here as well.

Neither one is an active, public policy maker. We shouldn't blame the wives for the sins (real or perceived) of their husbands.
