With the Jordan Brand deal hitting into effect on January 15th and the designs of the shoes, uniforms and apparel for the BSN teams, The League and for retail BSN teams have been looking at every corner of the planet to find the best talent possible for this season which Begins on February 25th.

The Arecibo Captains the Sub Champions of the BSN had a very dissapointing performance in the FIBA Americas League due to the fact that their heart of their team Point Guard Bobby Joe Hatton (Marist College) was injured after the first game and was unable to play the rest of the tournament. This led to a total collapse of the team as they were left with an adequate point guard in which also their back up Pachy Cruz was injured during the tournament on its first day.

But, The Captains are reloading and have decided to add former NBA Center Tony Massenburg for the Season along with the announced signing of former NBA Forward and 1st round draft pick in the 2001 NBA Draft Rodney White who is comming back from a series of bad injuries and tries to get back to the NBA or to find a shot in the Euroleague along with his Captains Teammate former Chicago Bull and Current Maccabi Tel Aviv/Euroleague Star Marcus Fizer who will be with the captains once the Maccabi Tel Aviv/Euroleague season is over. Coach David Rosario should guide this team straight to the finals.



San German Athletics

With a renewed campus, the quintet of Flor Melendez begin their practices on 15 January. Omar Alvarado, Sammy Villegas and Osvaldo Mendez debut with the orange, who repeated the young Manuel de Jesus and Alphonse Dyer. San Germán also bring back to imported Robert Lazor. Rick Apodaca and Christian Dalmau are free agents.

Brujos of Guayama

Under the guidance of the highest points scorer in the history of BSN, Georgie Torres, the Warlocks begin their training next Tuesday with a small group of canasteros, led by Rafael 'Chamo' Perez and the player selection BVI Steve Parillon, who will play in the tournament as a native. Guayama also has the rights to Eric Rodriguez, while it has not been able to establish communication with Ismael Caro (I will handle this when the Manchester Millrats arrive back from Singapore), who was traded from Ponce for Wilfredo Pagan. Guayama repeated Matt Freije and announced the signing of Major Wingate as their imports.

Santurce Cangrejeros

The champions currently preparing for their participation in the semi-finals of the League of Las Americas with the majority of its members, including siblings Dalmau and Santiago, Alex Falcon, Michael Watson, Luis Rivas, and Robert Traylor. It was the first team to be launched into training in early December and the only one practicing with their imported. Their only absentee is Larry Ayuso (Euroleage with Cibona, Croatia)and Miguel Ali Berdiel (NBDL), both active abroad.



Cariduros of Fajardo

After producing the surprise capitalized in the last tournament, Cariduros returning to tabloncillo on 15 January with a view to the upcoming season under the command of Carlos Calcaño. Christian Vazquez, Elisamuel Morales, Jesse Pellot, and Carlos Collazo must start from the first day, while Kevin Hamilton will report on February 1 and Javier Mojica when done in Romania. Uka Agbai again will be one of their reinforcements.

Conquistadores of Guaynabo

With Carlos Escalera, Angel Sanchez, and some young men in uniform, 'Conquis' leading training since December under the supervision of John Cardona. Carmelo Antrone Lee will report later from South Korea. Guaynabo announced that its reinforcements will be former NBA Center Soumaila Samake and Jerod Ward.

Criollos de Caguas

Their training will be launched tomorrow under the direction of Leonel Arill and with the presence of their native Fernando Ortiz, Ricardo Melendez, 'Bimbi' Roses, and Jonathan Garcia. The descendants of boricuas( Half Puerto Rican), Jason Wingate and Mark Konecny, will arrive next week to the island. Peter John Ramos and Andres Rodriguez are free agents. Caguas has not signed their reinforcements, but they are close to entering into agreements with Bobby Brannen and have been in constant talks with Chris Burgess and Eric Chenowith who both want to return to the Criollos since last playing with them in 2006

Mayaguez Indians

The ranks of Manolo Cintron start their training sessions on January 14 with some of its natives on the island. These include veteran Eddie Casiano, who will go to his season number 21 in the BSN, Therome Latson, Angel Knight, Giovanni Jimenez, Gilberto Venzen and Ian Lockhart. Keenan Jourdon who is in Mexico will come later this month. Mayaguez has not yet announced its imported but it may just be Venenzuelan Center Herbeth Reyes(St Francis, NY).

Giants Carolina

With a better edition in 2008, the team of Raymond Dalmau pulled their practice sessions last December 17. And its new members, Alejandro 'Bimbo' Carmona, Alvin Cruz, Christopher Hiraldo and Luis Villafane, are already active in training alongside the MVP of the last season, Angelo Reyes. Carolina announced that repeat Ebi Ere.

Greys of Humacao

With the 'war' mentality of its new coach, Carlos Mario Rivera; The Grey sbegan their training on December 15, with a staff full of young legs in Ánsel Guzman, Roberto Nieves, Johwen Villegas, 'Hommy' of Jesus and Kennel Sanchez. In March must reach striker Ricky Sanchez directly from the NBDL. Humacao has not yet announced its imported. Who may just be Tony Farmer of the ABA.

Ponce Lions

Following a restructuring in the administrative affairs of the franchise, the Lions formally begin their practices on 12 January with a workforce competitive, headed by Wilfredo Pagan, Joel Jones Camacho and Jeffrey Aubrey. Others are 'Pirulo' Colon Jorge Yoyo 'Rosario, Freddie Martinez and Mandy Bocachica. Sam Worthen will be their lcoach. Ponce has not selected its imported player(s) although they have began talks with Kevin Pittsnoggle, Kevin Sumpter and Gabe Muoneke

Jeans Bayamón

After a disappointing season, the Cowboys cleaned up the house a bit and with the leadership of Carlos Mercado, begin their morning workouts. Bayamon not repeat Carlos Escalera, 'Bimbo' Carmona nor Alvin Cruz and it will take stadium Hector Valenzuela, 'Fifo' Vega, Ivan Lopez, Jorge Rivera, Joshua and Nevis with a view to returning to the postseason.
