Couldn't play defense in the 3rd Quarter and couldn't hit a shot the entire game. Had a 14 point lead at the half and lost by 5. URRRRGHHH!!!!!
43 of 100 shots will not win a game.
Couldn't stop Demorris Smith. Guy got 45 points.
Getting 2 standing points is not going to get us anywhere.
Only bright spot is that Daryan Selvy had another great game - 38 points
Other bright spot, we have off until the 8th and 9th when we play Butte back to back.

Michael Ray decides to lose the two game series to his former assistant coach 8-6 in quarter points. I can understand why you would be mad OKCAVS67.

Silverados are for real!
Yeah!
:p
It's good to see RGV finally get some wins together. But is someone going to post the final score?

120-115
I wonder if Patrick Fields played -- he was on the Toros at the beginning of the season.

Ouch-it's BAD when you lose at home to the Silverados...
look at it that way or you could see the Silverados as an improved team.
RGV has been trying to get fans in the seats and I think this will help. If I recall, this is the Silverados second win in 3 games.

Patrick Fields, who was drafted by the Silverados in the CBA entry draft, scored 31 points, including a pair of treys in the victory over OK. Part of the problem the Silverados had earlier this year was that their entire scoring output was Mike Dean and Demorris Smith. Their defense was shoddy. And Steve Tucker couldn't coach a Statis Pro game.
Derrick Rowland comes in - now this is a man who played under some of the greatest CBA coaches in history - George Karl, Phil Jackson, Bill Musselman, Mauro Panaggio. I'm not saying that Rowland is yet as good as those players, but he must've learned something while he was a player on their teams.
In the CBA, a team often doesn't stay dormant for very long. Roster changes, overseas contracts, call-ups, it all happens one way or the other. The Silverados still have a chance to make a respectable run out of this season. Do I think they'll win the division? Hells no. But I think there are some more victories coming for RGV in the future.

...the teams change during the year. A couple changes in the rules I might propose for the next CBA season are to allow more roster moves for expansion teams (even though the rosters change a lot from year to year, the existing teams do have a gigantic leg up on the talent base, and the draft at this level is not nearly as valuable as in the majors), and maybe trying a "split season" playoff like several baseball leagues do, where the winner of the first half plays the winner of the second half for the title (or division title).
With the split season, an improving team like RGV would have something for their fans to get excited about now in mid-season, when basketball interest peaks.
Where was this thought process last season? The X could have used it:)

i wouldnt get to excited about an "improving team like RGV"
They have managed to beat an Oklahoma team that has gone through hell and back the last few weeks. They would have been waxed by the Cavs of Dec 1

They have won two games without the league's leading scorer. I am very much looking forward to seeing Fields and Mike Dean playing together my next trip to the valley.

..but the thought process was the same. When they came over from the ABA, the X and Indiana started with ABA-style personnel decisions (the RGV coach was in the ABA too, and I think did the same time). Lots of rookies and local players.
The Alley Cats were an elite ABA team, though, and could compete in the CBA with a lot of the same guys (though they faded in the second half as the talent got sold off). The X and RGV were awful until they changed coaches and cleaned the dead wood off the roster.
