Oklahoma needed overtime to get by visiting RGV, 119-113. It was labeled as family day in Lawton for the 1 PM start. The Silverados won two periods.

I stand corrected. I'm curious of what the turnout was for this.

The reason the game time was changed and it was turned into "family day" was because OU plays tonight. So, even if they had 16 people there this afternoon, that was better than the two old ladies that might have gone tonight.

The turn out wasn't as good as they had wished for.

The only reason the game was moved up to 1:00 was to allow people to attend the game then go home and watch OU vs. West Virginia in the Fiesta Bowl.

Most of the town was at work or still on vacation from the holiday's. Alot of kids started back to school today also.
I would have taken my kids to the game. I would have had to take the day off work - cough, cough, I think I was getting sick -but the kids had to go to school.

The Cavs have another game tomorrow night. Should be a better turn out for that one.

Side note - Cavs couldn't play defense through out the entire game. Listened to the game on the radio and it was rough.

Thanks, okcavs67. Things like that(afternoon games) are always a big gamble on work days. I've visited the radio station website, but they have no link for actually listening. Oklahoma beat W Va in Basketball on Sat., so hope the Mountaineers can return the favor:)

Why on Earth the radio station doesn't put the station on streaming so others can hear it is beyond me.

I think there is only one station in Lawton that does Live Streaming, KLAW 101, a country station.

Not sure if the game was webcasted or not. My work doesn't allow fun stuff like that on the computer. I know that the last home game wasn't webcasted. Could be an issue with the new owners not realizing it is not working or that they can even do it.

the call letters, but it does not make sense to me that the station would advertise being the Cavalry being broadcast on it, but not have any links for the games.

KMGZ are the call letters for the station.

It is a local station. I think they can only broadcast in about a 60 mile radius.

Might have to call the station tomorrow and see why they don't do live streaming.

Some stations do not offer streaming audio, due to copyright reasons (i.e., stations that air Rush Limbaugh or Jim Rome would have to turn off the feed during those broadcasts). I know that, for example, the streaming audio for WCBS-FM 101.1 (New York oldies station) has to black out the local commercials with public service announcements when the program is streamed online.

I can understand that, but this station plays Top40 music.

I just think it is a behind the times thing for the station. I will call them tomorrow and find out if they are planning on doing live streaming in the future.

I will also call the CAVS front office tomorrow and find out about the webcast situtation.
