Just wanted to drop a quick note to all the faithful GBLers we have on this board. Your comments, complaints, insights, humor, and sharing have made this an enjoyable past year. Hope to see your faithful names back on the board for 2008!

I agree with you, Paul, and I, too, patiently await the return of the Dawgs.

I'd like to add that it looks like all the teams could learn something from Chico. Their site is updated and promotional dates are already advertised. Now *that's* what you're supposed to do in the off season. Get things planned so people can start getting excited and see real reasons why they should start buying their season tickets. Good job, Chico.

Thanks for the reply Mary. I totally agree with you about Chico's website. They look ready to go and that's a reflection of their on-the-field performance as well. By the way, I REALLY LOVE your personal logo (Baseball in place of the heart in the x-ray; where did you find that?) I promise I won't steal it; just wondering. See ya soon!

I don't remember where I got it. I might have just searched Google images for baseball and found it/stole it ;) . I also have a great one of an apple shaped baseball.

Happy New Year to you and yours!!!

Hope all is going incredibly well, as it is here.

So, are you ready? The start of the 6 team AWL is just a few short weeks away, and I'm sure there are some good surprises in store.

Man, I can't EVEN believe how short this past year seemed. It seems like yesterday, we were out there for early work freezing our nuts off...

Monty

I'm so ready for an overnight trip over to Yuma.

I'd like to take James over for the one day camp that they're putting on.

Info:

The Arizona Winter League will put on a one day baseball camp on Saturday, Feb. 9th.

The camp is open to boys and girls ages 7-12.

Here is the chance for kids to spend a whole day with AWL players and get to go onto the field prior to an AWL game.

The camp will include:
•Breakfast with Players and Coaches
•Each camper will get an autographed Ball
•Ballpark/Clubhouse Tour
•2 hours of professional instruction
•Ticket to Surfdawgs vs. Scorpions that night
•Opportunity go on the field prior to game.

Chico has always been a success--I believe they were far and away the best franchise in the Western League as well. If only the GBL could find success in all or at least most of their franchises like what they have in Chico, the GBL will be around for quite awhile. Now, about the Surfdawgs...
