After initial excitement, the Trenton Devils have underachieved particularly in comparison with the Trenton Titans.
The problem for Trenton hockey fans is that the T-Devils don't or can't recruit the best players available like the old Trenton Titans management could do. In fact, at one point the Trenton Titans were viewed as the best place for an ECHL player to be. As a result, the Titans had some great teams, won a league championship and packed the SBA.
Now? The T-Devils are a development team for the parent NJ Devils so another Kelly Cup may be a long way off...perhaps, the NJ Devils management will reconsider and stock more AHL caliber players in Trenton.
