Well we finally done it. Today we leased a huge warehouse building in Harrison, Arkansas. We will be launching a "new" professional inline hockey league in 2005 in the Ozarks. All games will be played at the warehouse.

We will be installing the smaller inline hockey arena and seating will be around 4,000. the league will consist of 8 teams. Teams will be within a hundred miles of the arena. Games will be played on Thurs., Fri., Sat. and Sunday afternoons. This brand of hockey promises to be fast and furious.

Our area is just to small for ice hockey but there are hundreds of inline hockey players within a 100 miles of Harrison.

Stay tuned for more Ozark Hockey news.

Yep, this is Splinter...

You've formed god knows how many leagues to be based in the Ozarks, (the CAGE and the infamous MUD FOOTBALL leagues come readily to mind,) gotten people excited and then disappeared.

I want to know how committed you are THIS TIME. How you plan on making this thing work and why anyone should believe that you will be committed to seeing this thing through. Owning and operating a pro hockey league is a tough grind and won't be easy, it'd not fast money like you seem to believe. If you don't have the stomach for it, don't waste anyone's time and money. If you do then for once, show us!

Never said it wasn't Rant. I've decided to build and design my own league here in the Ozarks. I don't need team owners, I will get sponsors. All I will need is players and coaches.

There are plenty of players and coaches here in the Ozarks that will play inline hockey. So I really don't have to go shopping around for them either.

I have the lease secured with a possible option purchase. i will be talking with the guys next week about the rink. So I will need to do is th change the inside of the warehouse to a professional inline hockey facility.

You said the same thing about the Cage league and then you disappeared.

You need a lot more than just players and coaches. You need a PR man, a media relations person, at LEAST one player personel person, equipment managers, referees, maintenance staff, trainers, goal judges, a timekeeper or two, have I left anything out?

You need a bank account for the league. Labor certification depending on the state requirements is also needed in order to legally employ players and staff. This isn't a fly by night money making scheme here. If it is then it won't last a week. Especially in a region that has been a tough sell for hockey like the Ozarks.

This is a big undertaking no matter how small the league is. I have seen too many "pro" leagues go up in smoke in recent years to just blindly support any more bad ventures. If you come across like a used car salesman then that is how fans will view your product and not spend money on it.

Show us that you have what it takes because you have wasted our time way too many times to be taken all that seriously at this very moment.
