I think the biggest thing the UFL is going to do, and what I think will really propel it in the sports world is the IPO they are talking about. There are People and Countries, think of China that dump tons of money on any American IPO that comes along. I think alot of folks world wide would love to be a part of such a big American sport. If done right the potential for alot of money coming the UFL's way is a real possiblility.
Think of when Mastercard went Public at the begining of the year at something like 39.00 dollars a share. Now they are trading at over 200.00 dollars a share. Now the Worlds biggest credit card company, Visa, is going public the early part of 2008. Depending how an UFL IPO goes look for possible other sports leagues or franchises to consider the opportunity.

On the other hand:
The ABA is at $0.05 a share.
The USBL is $0.51 a share.
The WHA is $0.0008 a share.

How the ABA stays out of WHA territory is beyond me. But I do think that the UFL might not be on the right path if they intend to go to a full scale IPO. If they went to shares like the Packers and Saskatchewan Roughriders have, I could see it being beneficial, as fans would feel they have an actual connection with the teams.
