Michael Ray is Gone!

Well it certainly didn't take long for Michael Ray Richardson to wear out his welcome in Oklahoma. Despite a 6-3 record up to this point, I have sources that have confirmed Richardson was fired over the weekend (actually on Friday) and former NBA player (Chuck, you should be happy that it is another ex NBA guy, since you failed to ever get back to me in the private message that I sent you) Cliff Levingston was hired as the new head coach.

You can doubt it as much as you want, but you will see tomorrow night in Pittsburgh (especially you, psbf since we know you are at every game).

that I'm relieved that I won't be seeing M.R. on the sidelines when Oklahoma visits as I remember what he was like when Albany came here. But at the same time, it will be interesting to see what will happen when the Xplosion host Oklahoma. I'm hoping we can hand the Cavalry another loss. We see Oklahoma tomorrow night and Wed night.

Heavesrock, I have not been able to get any confirmation as to exactly why he has been fired. Knowing how Michael Ray is though, it wouldn't surprise me if he had gotten into it with management though. At this point, that is purely speculation though.

than speculation, Minor Leaguer, according to the league website, it's official although no reason was given.

psbf, as I have said all along I knew that Michael Ray was fired. What I said was speculation was the fact that he had probably gotten into it with management about something. As for all the doubters out there, they can visit the CBA's website, as they have an official release on it as you said.

As long as the X earn a win tomorrow night, I could care less who coaches Oklahoma.

about us being under .500(6-7)? Hey, it's a far cry from where we were at this time last season!! But, yes, I would like us get back to the even mark again.

I'm a little disappointed. I was looking forward to Michael coming back to Albany . He was the most entertaining coach in the league.
