Josh Craft knows he will be snapping the ball, now all he need to know is to who. Fairbanks Daily News-Miner repoted: Dittman said there is a short list of potential quarterbacks for the Grizzlies and one of them played for the past two seasons for Corpus Christi.

Wesley Cooper threw for 2,451 yards last season for Corpus Christi, completing 237 of 400 passes with 57 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Cooper is a free agent, as he hasn’t signed for a third season with the Hammerheads.

“I’m in contact with him right now, and I’m trying to make it work for him,” Dittman said.

The Grizzlies owner is also looking at Chuck Wright, who helped the Iowa Blackhawks reach last season’s championship game of the American Professional Football League.

Wright engineered three scoring drives, including throwing a 12-yard touchdown pass, in a 39-15 loss to the Kansas Koyotes in the title game last June in Topeka, Kan.

Wright signed in Omaha with the Beef.

I know of a free agent polar bear that is out of work, Dittman might want to contact him, or even more APFL players. Keep it up Chad, you are lowering your standards for your league. APFL, com'on

If I know Chad Dittman (and I do), he will put a winner on the field. I assure you, the success of this franchise is Chad's number one priority right now.

I think the team needs to have a few local guys, but if you can get established indoor talent (and no, I'm not convinced that APFL runners-up is 'established'), you need to do it in a new market.

I'd think that for guys willing to travel a bit, Alaska would be a neat place to go play football if for no other reason than...when are they ever going to otherwise get to go up there?

the team already signed 5 local players so far.
