No, I would say that's unfair. Yes, many have concerns with what's happening in the West, but that's a far cry from the shenanigans that occurred everwhere, seemingly every day in the NIFL. Mr. Mink and Mr. Morris have been quick to communicate and have shed their league of several underfinanced owners. We'll see how it all works out, but comparisons to the NIFL are overblown, if not entirely unwarranted.

Time will tell, but that doesn't make the AIFA the NIFL, not by a longshot.

I think it's been established that BIGP is in the Sprowls household. Not that there's anything inherently wrong with that. Still, these comments are self-serving.
HOWEVER...
What if I said, say, NIFL of 2004? 2005? Hopefully, I've picked a point in time where different decisions can yet cause a different outcome.

Yes, I would agree with that. NIFL of 2005, as they've already lost the "half their league" part of the NIFL-UIF split (and they lost mostly very good markets, with a few questionable owners).

Personally I believe there is only one other league in minor league sports that reaches the level of the NIFL in the actions and intentions of its leadership, and it is not a football league.

Yes, that would be the ABA!

In defense of the AIFA (yea, that's what I said) I don't think it's fair to compare them to the NIFL, or at least the NIFL as it has come to be known in more recent years.
I think the difference lies in the fact that the AIFA league owners "M&M" do have good intentions. Obviously there are alot of us that think they're going about things the wrong way, but I do think they're trying.
The NIFL on the other hand, in my opinion is a scam, and nothing more.

Until they really blow it, lets see what happens. I would love to see it work. They have some great markets .I dont about their ownership groups ,though.

Playing amateur psychologist here, I think Big (and I have nothing against you personally) took what happened with Wyoming and Fayetteville last year a bit personally. So he bears a grudge against the AIFA because it took in those two teams.
I too thought Wyoming would have been better off in another league, but I don't own the team and I'm not paying their bills.
My advise to him would be to let it go.
I have a feeling if things work out for the Beef and the Rage, San Diego will probably cast their lot into the UIF next season, and Big will be a lot happier. Until then, enjoy the Chargers playoff run. If you really want something to b*tch about, try being a Chiefs fan.

If you've really moved to St. Louis, and hold that attitude, I'm highly curious as to how many teeth you have left and how many wedgies you've received in a year's time. Please be a sport and report back on 21 Dec 2008.

Please elaborate. I could guess, however, Idaho isn't always the best place from which to make said guess.

Since I live there, I can confirm that there are Rams fans here.
Just not this past season...
