Here's how Ozzie (One) did it ...

Enterprising brothers converted NBA buyout of ABA team into multimillion-dollar windfall

What do you think ABA Owners ...

Thinking about the possibility of living the good life in the Land of Ozzie?

I would hope that no ABA owner is counting on something like that happening and that no such promises or enticements have been made. The circumstances surrounding that deal are not likely to be repeated anytime soon, and certainly not by any minor league.

That was a perfect storm of opportunity and lack of foresight on behalf of the ABA teams (and incredible foresight on behalf of the Spirits ownership).

Think about all those silly "challenges" Joe throws out to the NBA, including his concocted Katrina all-star game.

DAMN RIGHT HE'S SELLING THIS.

BTW, I'm certain Joe IS aware of the reality of the situation. It's all part of the ponzi scheme.

I wonder how that 'Ozzie Two' plan is shaping up for the ABA CEO & Co?

I'm not sure the Spirits' owners had any idea it would be as big as it turned out to be. They'd have had to be incredibly visionary to have forseen that. The NBA at the time of the merger wasn't exactly the hottest thing going, and Bird and Magic were teenagers.

Luck is great. We all need luck. They were smart and they were lucky and they're rich because of it. Kudos to them.
