Now that we all know the Ice Pilots are staying in Pensacola; the team has resumed its losing ways. Yet another 0-2-1 roadie. What can be done about this? Are the owners putting a product on the ice so bad it appears they aren't even trying to win? Mr. Shuh how much longer is Pensacola going to sit in the ECHL cellar? The Civic Center used to be a great "home ice" advantage in the ECHL. Now teams view a game against the Pilots like a football team views the Homecoming game....an easy win.
On the bright side...it's nice to see Brodeur get called up.

It is far from 100% that the team is staying. Just because Shugart said it was close to being done doesn't mean it is. Unless there is something on WEAR tonight that I didn't see due to me being in Tally now, it's not 100%.
Hulk I just noticed you're from F-dub. When I'm not living in Tally, I'm in Shalimar.
This team is not all Schuh's fault. The man knows nothing of hockey. Mario Forgione is a hands-on-but-I-live-in-Canada-and-I'm-never-in-Pensacola GM and he was responsible for a lot of the player that were brought in. A lot of people want to blame Marks for the players but he can only bring in those that were approved by Mario. I think Marks is flexing his muscles with the recent additions saying, "hey, you promised me some control." Some of the players don't even want to be in the Blue and Gold. Stepp is a waste of a Vet spot for us as he isn't even trying. Trade him for another good defenseman. Mike Bayrack is back in the country and going to sign with a yet to be revealed ECHL team. I hope it's us as he would be a great addition both offensively and leadership wise.
This team is not as bad as people say it is. The defense is, but not the whole team. If the defenders would get the puck out of the zone, shut down the shooters, and actually help Brodeur, scratch that, whoever is in net and we will win more with our offense at the level it is now. But, guess what, with the defense getting more pucks and helping create opportunities for our forwards, we can score more. The defense needs to step up, but a 9-1 home loss to Augusta is a team effort. These players should take notice that if they don't step it up now, they might not have a job come Sept/Oct 08.

9-1 home losses means players are giving up. At least that's what it looks like on the surface. Either that or Brodeur is taking on way too many shots per game. I mean even the greats like, well, Martin Brodeur, Hasek, Kolzig, etc. sure had a few get by when they faced 80 shots a game, but this Brodeur is nothing like that other Brodeur. (80 is an exageration). Then again, I'm sure Pcola would rather have that other Brodeur than the current one. LOL But, 2-6-2 record and Brodeur gets a call up. Hmmm....AHL team must be hurting too. (How much does it cost to get a flight from Pensacola to Rockford? That's got to be a let down for someone...going from the sunshine to the snow.)
Yes, I'm in FWB. Youre in Shalimar...did you know that Shalimar used to be a "little Las Vegas"? Now, it's where all the cops hang out. :( What an interesting turn in events. lol

The Win-loss record is the worst goalie stat there is. you put brodeur in Texas and I bet you he wouldnt be 2-6-2.
Cops don't hang out in Shalimar as much as they used to. We do have the Sheriff's office now. Still tons of drugs and gangs. What do expect from a town where you have trailor parks across the street from mansions. lol
