Click on the above article, and it states that the Jacksonville Wave are in danger of not playing in this 2004 season.. so that now makes Reno and Jacksonville as the the latest additions to bail out of the ABA..

It's never a good sign when the (so-called) owners go AWOL. From that same article:
Adding to the problem is that players and team employees -- including Wave general manager Larry Jacobs -- have been unable to contact co-owners Zachary Hoxie and Homer Jackson to resolve issues that threaten the 2004 season, which is scheduled to start in November.
It's not a good sign when so many of these so-called owners are from out of town either. It makes a disappearing act ALL too easy...Now where is the Pensacola/Chicago guy from again?

... what's funny is back on August 28, they had an exhibition game.. against who I don't know... how'd they do? Don't know. The only press I've seen for the Wave is that they're not doing well.

Just announced that Colorado Springs & Vancouver have dropped out are have been placed in the 2005-2006 teams. Check out the website for proof. They're down to 34 teams now. Also expect the Harlem team to drop out, too. And to think that Texas just released their schedule. Wonder if they'll even have 30 teams by the time they start. How sad!

:?: I'm not the least bit suprised that of the 34(?) teams allegedly playing this upcoming season, that only roughly FOUR of them have released a schedule.... wouldn't you think this would be a league wide release?
