I just saw the info about the firebirds being for sale on ebay. That's right for those of you who don't know the team is for sale on ebay. Now does this show all of you "NIFL sucks and the AFL is a major league" people like BIGGS that you have no right to pass yourself off as a major league. The NIFL does not sell teams on ebay. The NFL does not sell teams on ebay. It is not fair to the team's workers, players and fans that there team should be dangled out there like a piece of meat for anyone to take. It makes the league look worse than the NIFL. This is crazy. ebay is for clothes, cars, music, football equipment, etc. but not for pro football teams. I support the NIFL and I support the Arena league but this is ridiculous. I hate to see the league become some sort of joke. I don't know what else to say but BRING BACK JIM FOSTER. Foster would not allow such a thing to get started.

I seem to be a little behind the times. I have been out of the country and could not keep up on the goings on in the pro sports world. I have just found out that the Firebirds franchise has collapsed. All I can say is oh well. The AFL allowed the team to move. The Firebirds should have stayed in Albany. This is what the AFL gets for trying to be a major league. One of it's finest franchises goes up in smoke. It also appears that Detroit will once again be left without a team. Everybody remember how well the Drive used to draw.Moving franchises is not always a bad thing, look at the Storm. Their attendance was down to dangerous levels in Pittsburgh so the league allowed them to move. Allowing teams to move cities before there attendance figures drop into the red is ignorant. Who knows what kind of shape the AFL would be in if the league would have kept franchises in Albany and Detroit. I also believe Carolina is in poor shape and didn't they move from Raleigh to Charlotte. Correct me if I'm wrong about Carolina.
What does teams folding in the AFL or AF2 have to do with the NIFL?
The 2004 NIFL season was fubar'd...
The NIFL can stand or fall on their own merits..
But to dog on another league doesn't bolster YOUR league..
It would be like someone dogging on my most likely soon to be defunct Wichita Stealth... And for me to say... Well... You lost the Colorado Venom after one game... blah blah blah..
Doesn't change anything.. For either league..
Actually... Every team that does well... Is good for indoor football..
And I am a fan of football... period..
Bottom line is.. The best scenario is everyone doing well...

Yeah, I don't think any comments about any league will add any merit to what the NIFL did in 2004...all I can say is, these new teams for '05 damn well better be good ownerships.
Of course, they probably won't be, and it will be just another big farce for the NIFL. Hopefully, this AIFL does get it right.
