NIFL is not folded I guess, and the tasers have a logo now too

That's a very neony logo. I just made a new word (copyright protected).

If you look closely you will see that they went to a bunch of trouble to add the Tasers. But, they did not expend any effort to remove all the teams that have gone to other leagues or folded up shop.

Could this be a further attempt by CS and CG to misrepresent the status of this defunct league so they can steal money from unsuspecting "investers"/suckers?

I think you're probably right. I'm sure there will be investors as well.

TASERS ? ? ? :?

I can't think of another word in the english
language that is currently more representative
of police brutality and the use of excessive force
by law enforcement on fellow human beings than "Tasers".

could the NIFL do something so blatantly distasteful ?

It seems the answer is yes.

I guess at team called the "N" words , is next.
They can play the LynchMob , and then...

oh wait ...what am I getting so bent for ?

It's the NIFL ...the team most likely won't ever play.

still ... I think it's in bad taste in the first place.

The next new team:

Witchita Waterboarders

At least they got Wichita wrong.

Wichita does have a second arena that could be used (where the Aviators played). But I don't know that the fans would like their city's name spelled wrong.

What is a waterboarder?

So has the NIFL evolved into some weird protest group or something?

What's wrong with Tasers? If I was a cop I'd use them. All cops have to get tasered as well, to feel what it's like. It's harmless. It will drop you to the ground instantly and you won't be able to move for a bit, but it wears off...as does the marks. There's a ton of videos on Youtube about people getting out of line and cops tasering them. If they'd just follow the cop's directions they wouldn't have gotten tasered in the first place. I'm not saying all cops are justified in how they're used as I'm sure there is abuse, but that applies to everything.

I'd like to see CS get tasered. Throw in Ralph Adams and Andrew Haines and you have a great idea for a pay per view event.

Let's add Joe Newman as well.

The next new team:

Witchita Waterboarders

This makes no sense. There is already a UIF team there. There is no way that this small city can support TWO arena football teams. Besides, the NIFL site makes no mention of it anyway.

It makes me wonder... do they have newspapers in St. Louis?

They don't talk about up and coming, out of state, minor league teams that are in the NIFL.

Can somebody set this boy straight?

OMG! It's not about Wichita!

Unfortunately, my approach is too close to the direct method... but at least I can quote someone generally opposed to my political views.

I've been tased before, it's not the worst thing cops can do to you.... I've also been maced and pepper sprayed....Not all at the same time, but they're all pretty rough in their own right, with pepper spray probably the worst of the three.......And just for clarification, they were all part of demonstrations I did with the local police department for a few bucks when I was in college, I wasn't knocking over liquor stores or anything;)

Maybe CG&CS will use this post as inspiration for some new teams. Macon Mace? Pikeville Pepper Spray???? Hmmmmm

Do you know how many ignorant people there are out there? I wouldn't want to be a cop, although the side money would be nice.

Jeez, DON'T GIVE THEM ANY IDEAS!!!!

You guys, it's just Ohio Indiana and the Wicked Witch of the South's way of getting people to talk about them. With controversial nicknames they think they can get some publicity. Unfortunately, by wanting to name teams Waterboarders and Tasers they just come off as totally inept and infantile attention getting devices. Either that or Ohio Indiana is into torture porn or something.
