How is this for an oddity? Georgia leads the Blue South at 0-2 because the other teams have yet to play a game. (We are two weeks into the season the last that I checked.)

Monterrey does not have an updated web site, the last I knew were out of the league, but are still listed in the standings.

There are more of course, but I am too lazy to go through them all.

The Winner of the Blue Conference South Division will most likely capture the Division by default (all the other teams will stop playing games 2-4 weeks before the end of the season or quit going into the playoffs).

Honestly, at this rate I give the league until the end of the year. This is just getting worse and worse by the second. No way the league lasts the season.

It doesn't matter. Since the ABA doesn't put out any sort of statistics or confirmation of games that are actually played, we could get a ton of "TEAM X 125, TEAM Y 115" games, Joe will claim that 95% of the schedule was played because looky looky here are the scores from games, I couldn't have scores if the games weren't played, right?

The minute the ABA turned a 2-0 forfeit into a 100-99 "game played", that destroyed it. It's like me saying the Utica Wreckers have a 16-0 record, I can give scores, does that mean the games were played for real? I can say the Wreckers "played" those games, does this mean the Wreckers are real?

Can I wake up from this nightmare of a league and convince myself that none of this is real?

Nah.

That's what alot of people are thinking ...

It CAN make it, technically because the LEAGUE has nothing to do with the stamina of the east coast teams.

As long as a handful of teams in the east can continue to compete against each other, at least some form of the league will exist - and be spun into a successful season. Even if it finishes with less than 10-12 teams.

The handful of owners with 'morals and ethics' will do the right thing and complete the season so players and coaches get paid - how many will that be though?

The league just needs to be able to limp to the finish line, which sets itself up for a whole new slate of (owners) to invest $10,000 for their "exclusive" territory for 2008-2009. Giving the league another year of existence.

Will be interesting to see if west coast can sustain this year with no attendance.

I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean by 'successful season?'

I have to believe that Joe is courting people to bring in franchises for this season...I can't
help but to think that if he finds any fools...They will be added to the schedule this year.

(Perhaps a group of fresh suckers after the first of the year).
He won't want the P.B.L. season to start without the A.B.A. still "looking" alive.

If Joe says its successful, it's successful.
