ABA: It's back with another team in Anderson
They typically lose a few franchises along the way during the season, but the ABA (American Basketball Association) is back again, playing its unique brand of minor league basketball.
The Anderson (Ind.) Champions had been scheduled to play their home opener Thursday against Peoria, but that game has been canceled due to the uncertain status of the visiting team. Coached by Ray Tolbert last year, the Champions went 5-6 in a league where some teams played as many as 37 games and others as few as seven.
Why does it seem like the local writers don't care too much about it? This
