ENCODE MEDIA GROUP TO REPRESENT THE ABA IN THE U.S.
01-Nov-2007
Detroit, MI -- Encode Media Group, LLC has entered into an agreement with the American Basketball Association to represent the ABA's media interests in the US. Encode CEO, Arvell M. Jones, expects the new relationship to be the beginning of some very exciting things for both Encode and the ABA.

"Whenever a press release like this comes out there is always a quote about how one party is excited to be working with the other. It may be a cliche, but all of us here are very excited about working with the ABA," said Jones. "This is a legendary organization and our minds are just bursting with creative ideas of how to bring the ABA into all of the broadcast media available today."

Led by comic book legend and entrepreneur, Arvell Jones (one of the first African-American comic book creators to work on mainstream books for both Marvel and D.C. Comics and an early pioneer in the Internet having co-founded two Internet companies with such clients as MSN, Corvette Racing, GMAC and OnStar).
Encode has worked with such national companies as Lions Gate, Alienware Computers, and CoLours TV, Marc Buchanan Pelle Pelle, ADV Films, The Urban Music Association of Canada (UMAC) and others.

Encode's mission will be to identify potential partners for the ABA, including television, cable, satellite, broadband networks, video on demand (VOD), Pay per View services, Internet Protocol Services (IPTV), Mobile, wireless, broadcasters, narrowcasters and streaming video services as well as potential sponsors, advertisers and strategic partners (production units, personalities, licensing companies and their agents).

"We are very pleased and excited to be working with Encode (the cliche again)," said Joe Newman ABA CEO. "Our recent deal to bring the ABA to CoLours TV was an example of Encode's hard work and vision and from discussions I've had from Arvell. I see great things in the future for the ABA, our fans - and of course, for Encode."

MJ ENTERTAINMENT JOINS VRCA TO HEAD NEW YORK DIVISION
01-Nov-2007
Indianapolis, IN -- MJ Entertainment, a New York-based management company, today joined with VRCA Records to represent the company on the East Coast. MJ Entertainment has been in the management business for the past fifteen years. The company was founded by Michael Jordan, CEO. (Not #23). Jordan has worked with and toured with major recording artists like MC Hammer.

Since its inception, MJ Entertainment has put together an excellent team of writers, producers and management consultants to assist in promoting, managing and encouraging artists in developing their professional careers. "We are very happy to be heading VRCA Records New York Division," stated Jordan. "We look forward to working with VRCA as well as the ABA Entertainment Division booking concerts and other ABA Entertainment events."

"What we have to offer the ABA fans will be lots of brand new recording artists that have a deep passion to play in front of all of the ABA fans," added Jordan. "This will provide a variety of different types of music to fans. We currently have over 40 artists that we manage and they will be joining the ABA Red, White and Blue Concert Tour."

"This will be a very positive union between VRCA Records and MJ Entertainment," stated Paul Allsup, VRCA CEO. "We are very pleased and excited to have MJ Entertainment joining VRCA. Michael discovered a need for running an ethical, value-based management company after experiencing the many faces of the music business from an artist point of view. Coupled with VRCA and the ABA Entertainment Division, MJ is a force to be reckoned with."

It means absolutely nothing when you have teams folding left and right. Who gives a crap.

Reno's gone
Rochester's next.
Minnesota's back for now ... who knows for how long.
Peoria is wobbling.

As a service, I'd like to suggest a few potential affiliations for the Kitchen Czar:

They - and others - market SCHEDULE MAKING SOFTWARE; you know, something a sports league (professional, semi-pro, biddy, etc.) actually needs to have in order to actually play the damn games...

Joe - consider this my gift to you, free of charge (your check would probably bounce, anyway).

DId I call it or what a few days ago !! I posted Joe will be brining in minority companies like crazy to partner up with the ABA in the next few days.

IMO, this is why I think this is going on.

1. Jalozza is close to getting the ABA, Joe has no recourse legally. SO what I think he will do is try to convince Jaloza to let him stay on and run the ABA even if JAloza takes control becuase Joe has made all these partnerships and can make the ABA profitable.

2. Joe can use a modified version of the race card, by claiming that if the ABA is being taken over ( legally) or if he files Bankruptcy, it will hurt the minorities. He needs to stay in control.

Since I'm not in the entertainment business, I am rather curious to know how many people, entities, etc. put out press releases to announce the hiring of an agent. Anyone?
