me is that I've not read anything on the Detroit Panthers since I can't remember when. All of a sudden they win a pre-season game.

Neither has anyone here in Metro Detroit. I knew from the website that they moved to the 'burbs, Beverly Hills to be exact (I know there is a Jed Clampett joke there somewhere). I don't see any mention of Charlie Batch on the website anymore. I don't know if he is still connected to the team or not. I could be mistaken but I thought I remembered seeing NFLer and Detroit native Bart Scott's name connected to the team at some point since last season. I don't see anything on him now either. Basically the team flies under the radar here, as have all incarnations of the ABA here since the Dogs snubbed the media in their second season. They get zero coverage by the media and do nothing to promote themselves beyond the content on their website. Sad thing is it is a good product with some real potential from what I have seen. If no one other than family and friends of the team know they exist, that really doesn't matter.
