Lets count the teams lost this year. Alabama Steeldogs, Bakersfield Blitz, Ft. Wayne Fusion, Everett Hawks, and the Cincinnati Jungle Kats (not confirmed but the Fat lady is getting ready to sing). Now if Doug Mcgregor didnt buy the Tennessee Valley Vipers, they would be out and he moved Laredo to peoria. Actually, if it wasn't for Mcgregor their wouldnt' be: Tennessee Valley, Tri-cities, Peoria, Amarillo, Texas, Corpus Cristi, Boise, and Austin. New Mexico and Mississippi are not coming in this year. There are only (2) teams from the original 16 that have played every year (Arkansas and Tulsa). Quad City and Tennessee Valley did take some time off from the AF2 before coming back. Arena/indoor football is a great product but my question is, when is AF2 going to realize that the business model is not working? Even millionaire owners will only lose money for so long. Also why is Mcgregor buying up 1/4 of the league. Does he get 8 votes in the league meetings?

We have a team that has been here for two years. They are fun to watch but the management has not been there. The fans see problems after problems and now they are owned by the league they play. I will still go to the games to support my town but it is hard. I wish I had the money to buy the team.

The af2 charges an arm, leg, and firstborn son in franchise fees. That's the first "problem".
Second problem last year was that they decided that "due diligence" was a waste of time...Hence Fort Wayne, Cincy, and Everett fiascoes.

There has been nothing in the media about Alabama and Cincy folding? Who says Albuquerque and Mississippi aren't coming in this year?
I think you meant Iowa or Peoria coming back and not Quad City.
Maybe Doug MacGregor does own more than one team ... so what? Most of the teams are owned by sports groups, including Cincy, which is owned by Sam Adams and a bunch of NFL players from Cincy. I'm sure if af2 had this many teams folding, they would be alarmed.
Again, show me some links, er, proof.

You won't see anything official from Alabama and Cincy, probably, but it looks like they are done.
The problem with Doug McGregor owning almost a third of the league is related to the twin problems of what happens when he decides he's lost enough money, and can he honestly give each team enough attention so they can survive.

Again, show me some links, er, proof. Albuquerque and missisippi ARE not in this season, ALB doesnt have the new Arena built and we wont say why Mississippi isnt in but they are not. Quad City is in and so are the other two teams mentioned.

I thought that Albuquerque was playing at the new facility in Rio Rancho. If that's the case, it's built. The NM Scorpions (CHL) just started their 2nd season there. Or, are they waiting on the proposed downtown arena?

Rio Rancho, I thought....and thanks for the reminder about the Scorpions.

Funny thing... the last news on the OSC site about Albuquerque is from last November. That news referred to the debate between the existing arena and the proposed arena. Anyone else think that raises a red flag?
There's also apparently no logo for the team yet. We're 6 months away? That doesn't sound like much of an organization, even if Brian Urlacher is involved.
