This league has put out a website with teams and what looks to be a few player signings. Lets see if this league fairs any better than the IIHL. Here is the site http://internationalhockeyassociation.com

Look at the two websites. Don't they kinda remind you of each other?? (Very cartoonie - go to the teams link) Some of the same names of the first shipwreck are associated with the new league. All of the ticket info e-mail addresses for each team all go to the same e-mail address, like the first disaster league. It is the end of August, and not all the teams have coaches listed. The Sault teams logo was a logo used by a now defunct "Jr. B" team 1994-2001 (Ventura Mariners - Western States Hockey League). Check it out... www.logoserver.com/WSHL.html www.wshl.org
If you go to the "spotzdomain" website you will notice that it gives you all the info on league franchise fees, league dues, payroll, player insurance, team voting rights, operating budgets, ETC.. Why in the world would this website post this info, when it is not even on the leagues own website. I thought these two guys did'nt get along????? Hmmmm. Why is there a link to that particular website on the "new leagues" website if those people don't get along. Why dosent OSC have an info link to this new league???? And finally the definition of premier is..... A: first in position, rank, or importance B: first in time
To new to be premier, and definitely not the first.

you know, i just sit and watch these boards. and its funny how people who know absolutely nothing make the dumbest comments. did you ever think of sending the league an e-mail? there is no link from the IHA to any other league, that is simply a lie. this is exactly why there is not more communication on these boards from people that are involved because of unfounded accusation and misleading information.

this league will never see the light of day, not one of the so called teams on the web site are real or ready to play. The man behind this crap Joe Kolodziej is a cheat, liar and a con. The teams or people on staff that he talks about and why they don't responed to the message boards is all crap. There is no staff period. Just Joe.
Ask him why he won't show his face in Buffalo, or answer any questions about his hockey experience. He's never played pro hockey of any kind, trhe dates and teams and leagues he says he has played for wrong.
If your a player don't give him your credit card info. He'll use it and you'll be ass out. Joe doesn't have a pot to piss in or two nickles to rub togetherso really this is his next con job. Watch Out!!!!!

Dude, you just described Mike Killbreath perfectly. However, Joe's past track record shows that he can put a competant club on the ice. (His Predators being the ONLY iihl team that had any credibility, ability to draw fans or even have uniforms.) The question is weather he can do it in a more organized league that ISN'T a scam.
Frankly my take on his recent silence in Buffalo is that he is tied up in lawsuits with Killbreath and his former partner. The bottom line is that I feel that he resurfaced with a new team way too soon. He probably should have waited until after his legal situation was cleared up before starting up another team.
Time will tell weather he has what it takes or is legit. He was the only thing resembling legitimacy in the iihl but the next league he catches on with will be his big test. The hockey world is a small one and if he can't be trusted it will be documented big time.

Give me a break who every you are 4thechief. Why not post your real name on here. Everyone seems to find it very easy to bash other people, spread rumor and inuendo based on unfounded information. I am guessing that you are some former player that just plain sucked and I cut you or wouldnt give you a try out. Either that or you are someone that is now facing some legal issues because of your actions. Either way, stand up, get some balls and tell us who you are.
This is why most teams and leagues dont bother to talk to people because most of them just spit things out without thinking. Anyway, anytime you want to step on the ice, or put your real name out there, feel free to call me instead of hiding on message boards. Lets just call you Dunlop until you do, will that work for you? "Who own Da Chiefs?"

Hey Joe: I hope this league takes off. The fans need $8.00 seats, and hockey where the players are not so hung up their own self importance that they fail to realize that without fans, no paycheck. I look forward to following your new venture and next time I am in the Pittsburgh area (mother in law lives there) I hope you guys are at home so I can catch a game or two. Best of luck to you and the new league.

Is it just me or does anyone else wonder why the same set of phone #'s are posted for all the teams? Where is the staff? What happened to the Buffalo team and what happened to all the people that Joe hired and announced on the Buffalo site? Anyone know? Looks to be like things aren't happening.

I guess therealstory has finally come out. Hard to critize when a guy pleads guilty and plea bargins down other charges. I guess the only lack of communication is from therealstory himself. I guess him and Mike could maybe be cell partners since they seem to have the same criminal minds, and that is to make abuck off other peoples sweat and hard earned money, and lets not forget trust and dreams.

I did a check on Joe's legal situation on google and it yielded no results. Could someone post a few links here so we can all see it and not just speculate.
As for the IHA, I have my doubts about it playing a game but then again it's only September and the lockout has only gotten started. (With many NHL fringe players going into the minor leagues, there will be lots of players looking for work so in the next month there could be enough talent to fill 6-7 teams like the IHA.) I'm sitting and waiting this one out. It could yield some new Laheys!

His guilty pleas was in the Petosky News. He pleaded Guilty to a CC Fraud but was charged with Internet fraud, Forgery, unauthorized use of a credit card. These last charges were dropped for the guilty plea. So no speculation, once you plead guilty and the judge accepts it, your a felon at that point.

Thanks for the link. Interesting stuff. I find it very shocking that Joe gets busted and tried so quickly but Mike Killbreath is STILL free. How is this possible? Did the dirtbag pay off local authorities?
Either way, the whole story wasn't really told in that article. It just mentioned the charges against him. I would like to read an article outlining everything that happened in Michigan and whatnot. With Killbreath we got a LOT of inside info but not here.

You've gotta goggle search Joe Kolodziej and hockey. Look under the IIHL, NEHL and IHA. The stories start with him steping down from the team and go from there. This from what I've been told and read was not all of a sudden. Either was the arrest in Buffalo. This has all been ongoing like the fact that he's already on probation, and the fact that this would have been his 4th felony, in a three strikes your out state. The fact is the man is a con, I know this first hand. He hired me to work in Buffalo and I left Florida and moved to New York for nothing. nd it wasn't just me if you remember he announced the hiring of several people on the first web site. He has done more harm than good and it's folks like Joe that give hockey a bad name. I hope they put him under the jail. Hey Joe got nothing to say?? Or are you going to send me another email with a fake order on it?

Frakly at this point I have no clue who is right and who is just blowing smoke. If you have such an email, send it to my email address at bigchrisg@hotmail.com . It was bad enough when it was Killbreath starting flame wars with the whole world but we have Joe and Cashman slugging it out now. So many Lahey's, so little bandwidth...
