Just getting thoughts from everyone.... when discussing indoor football records, we all know there is a difference between "Indoor Football" and the "Arena" rules, so would you lump the two together when talking about all-time rushing numbers, passing, interceptions, etc?

For example, no indoor football player will likely approach the numbers some AFL or af2 players have put up passing when talking TD's and yards... while AFL and af2 players will never get close to the rushing numbers regarding yardage.

Talking single season, Dan Alexander (AFL) did rush for 41 TD's rushing in 2007... Birdie Dockery (NIFL) did rush for 44 for OV in 2002. For career, Sam Hernandez is the AFL's all-time leader in sacks with 57.5, but if you count up Nate Fluitt's career, he is (I believe) the all-time leader in sacks with 62.0 (2003-2004 NIFL, 2005-2007 UIFL).

Anyway, do you lump the two together and say it's all in a 50-yard field with a different kind of rule or do you separate the two between AFL and af2 vs. AIFA, AIFL, PIFL, IPFL, NIFL, GLIFL, CIFL, WIFL, IFL, Intense?

Looking for open discussion on the breakdown of records... what can you compare, what can't you, or is it all separate?

If you're going to include the arena game, I'd only include the AF2 (which is fine; they're basically at the same level as the indoor leagues). The AFL is just at a whole new level.

If you just want to include the indoor leagues, I'd just put them all together. No reason to really worry about all the quirks; it's only going to probably change passing touchdowns and rushing yardage in terms of what it really materially affects.

Great Josh... thinking along the same lines as in it is in the same talent pool, just a bit different on how offenses are specified. Kinda like saying Hawaii and Texas Tech are 'of course' going to lead every year in passing yardage as that is all they do. Either way, you still call it NCAA football.

That's exactly my thought, Dave. And really, look at the rules...Corpus Christi had over 100 yards a game rushing this year with AFL-style rules. So it's really not much different in that regard.

and you see how many wins that got them

The top scoring offense in the IFL. 61.1 points per game.

13-3 record

Close loss in the Intense Bowl.

I'm talking the Hammerheads, not the af2 team.

what about Eddie Bynes. Hasn't he been the defesive player of the year in like every league he has played in. His career numbers probably compare to anyone's.

Bynes has 80 for his career by my numbers, however can't call anything official until the GLIFL releases official stats for 2007. We assume there mark of 22.5 is official enough, sure.
