The PBL is sending out as much conflicting information and hog wash as the ABA.

Regardless of whether its 10, 11, or 13 teams, they need to update their website to reflect that, and eliminate the dead links to non existent teams.

We need to see a final team list, schedule, season ticket sales, sponsors, etc at this point!

I'm really not impressed so far.

PBL -> ABA v.2.0

Im sick of getting info from team releases, I want the league to make things official, like teams/schedules etc...

I just saw in like an article about the JAM joining and I believe they mentioned 16 teams now...

i agree..the clock is ticking..the january start is the only thing that gives them any benefit of the doubt....but that benefit is almost gone

that it's kind of late for adding teams, even though they begin later. I'm wondering if maybe they added Jax after deciding to post pone their season a year. The way their news is coming out, I don't see them playing this year.

I doubt Jacksonville would join a league that was postponing for a year.

You're probably right. I hope things continue going well for them.

YOu inspired to me to check out the site. I saw the team's roster. If this is supposed to be the Premier talent, then the PBL has allot of growing up to do. There are more D2 and D3 players than there are D1 players. Checking on some of the college stats, these guys did not do much there either. Many ABA teams could beat this squad

A1, I have a request. I heard that at least two PBL teams are not paying to fly guys in or out for vets camp. If that is indeed true, I would say that this practice moves the meter towards the ABA line and not the CBA/NBDL line. Anyway that you can check on this? I said it before and got jumped, but I think the PBL will be doing things on the cheap.

a1 I am still waiting. I would love to trade notes with you on this. I want to see if my info is right on with yours. By the way, I now know of three teams who are not flying guys in and out and the teams expense. Majority are to drive or they have to fly on their own dimes. P.S. the Rock River site is down and the Quad City site still has an ABA schedule on it. P.S.S. I cannot find the new PBL site.

1. The Rock River Fury are no more...they're now the Rockford Fury:

I'm not sure which of the PBL teams have even had their vet camps yet for us to assess this yet (since they don't tip off the regular season until after Jan 1), but I do know that some of the teams do plan to fly/house in their key guys (I assume their draft picks and highly valued prospects) in as needed. I imagine that it will not be an across the board decision for all players and will depend on where you are located.

Not much of a change on the first one; the team played in Rockford before, and they play in Rockford now.

Maybe Tom McGinn should worry about the QC Riverhawks website rather than going from Rock-River to Rockford

The QC website still has ABA references...
