I have to congratulate the Quad City Mallards for their recent signing of 6-6, 270 lb rookie, Ojay Hehr. We as hockey fans must appreciate Cornfield's attempt to bring physical play back into the UHL. After watching the nausiating style which Muskegon employed on their way to the cup last year, it is a welcomed surprise to see that other teams are not signing skirts to play like the Fury. Win or lose, who wants to watch that garbage anyway? I am from Fort Wayne and definately not a Mallard fan by any stretch, and I really enjoyed the toughness and skill which the IHL had years ago. Added toughness will grow rivalries and help some of the teams that struggle in the attendance department. Outside of Flint vs. Quad City, who else hates one another? That is what this league needs. Hopfully the new coaches in place in Rockford and Missouri will help stir some of this up.

Seems someones a bit jealous that the Fury swept the Greenheads and also YOUR precious Komets and the Jackels too, so you have to make excuses by calling the Fury skirts. Haha. At least the Jackel fan's ahve some class as thier fan's wrote to our local Chronicle and the Fury organization commending the Fury on thier win and how they are a great team on and off the ice.
The Fury play a quality game and play with intense passion and are a quality club here in Muskegon as well. They did something no other team in the UHL has ever done (going undefeated in the playoffs to win the Cup) they are also the winningest hockey team in ALL OF MINOR PRO HOCKEY IN THE US the last 12 years. As well as setting or breaking over 40 UHL or club records last season too.
And to add to that they have a Hockey Hall of fame player on the team as well, as Robin Bouchard's jersey and stick are in the Hockey league Hall of fame for breaking a consecutive game scoring record last season that was set in the NHL over 83 years ago.
How sad that you can't take being beaten by a quality team and want
the league to resort too gooning to try to win games instead of playing excellent hockey. Hockey is not about fighting if you want to see fighting go to a boxing match. The Fury play real hockey, instead of goon squad tactics that some teams play.
Don't be fooled though the Fury players can hold thier own with thier fists when need be. Just because they don't resort too gooning makes it that much better for all hockey fans. I would much prefer any day to watch a QUALITY HOCKEY TEAM than one that is coached to goon it up on the ice. So call the Fury skirts if you want to WE HAVE THE CUP AND ARE INTENT ON KEEPING IT !!!
want to check out the team I am so proud of go to http://furyhockey.com
GO FURY !!!!
