4 Weeks to go ...
And the ABA doesn't look very prepared for the season ...
Has the ABA CEO set the league up for failure once again
You have 28 Days ABA ... Can you get it done?
(p.s. I'm getting my ABA Grade Card ready ... are you going to Pass or Fail ABA?)

I guess I'll get motivated here shortly ...
And start "breaking down" things.
Side note:
Anybody see an updated ABA Operations Manual laying around? (I didn't think so ...)

I'd have to give the ABA an ' F ' on the TicketBreak relationship thus far.
For those who don't know, the ABA has formed an agreement with TICKETBREAK to provide ticketing and marketing services to the ABA teams on a long-term basis.
I wonder if TICKETBREAK CEO John Derlis and CTO Jarek Niskiewicz, who were in attendance at the Team Owner's meeting in Indianapolis are getting a good vibe thus far?
By the look of things ... I wouldn't be all too excited about it.
Only 5 ABA teams are currently listed on the TicketBreak website
http://www.ticketbreak.com/categories/sports/aba
Anderson Champions - Season Tickets Only
No Schedule
First State Fusion - Season & Individual Game Day Tickets
18 Home Games
Jersey Express - Season & Individual Game Day Tickets
16 Home Games
Manchester Millrats - Season & Individual Game Day Tickets
18 Home Games
Note: Sunday Jan 27, 2008 ... Manchester Millrats vs. Corning Bullgods (LOL)
http://www.ticketbreak.com/event_details/1515
San Francisco Rumble - Individual Game Day Tickets Only
5 Home Games
And it hasn't been for a lack of effort on Ticketbreak's behalf.
Nick S. Hall, Director of Operations for TICKETBREAK Corp. has sent quite a few announcements and notifications out to the ABA team organizations.
So what's "the deal" here
Maybe I was right in my original thread. Possibly this should have waited until the 2008-2009 season?
How is it ...
That we are less than 4 weeks away from the start of the 2007-2008 ABA season and only 5 out of 40+ teams are taking advantage of this "agreement?"
Hey Teams ... Don't you have Schedules??? ECHO ECHO ECHO ...
Hey ABA CEO...
Get to work and start showing some leadership or get out of Minor League Basketball!

Only 18 entries submitted to the "Play with the Pros" contest in nearly 4 months time ...
http://www.sportsvite.com/videos/contest?id=1&page=1
I'd say, a very in-effective promotion marketed by the ABA ...
So I'd have to give the ABA an ' F ' on this promotional effort!
And what happened to the promotion itself? Did it disappear, like so many of the other ABA promos?
The ABA doesn't even have the "Play with the Pro's" contest banner on their homepage anymore?
I guess people are more interested in the Ultimate Sales University instead
"For one talented amateur athlete, the chance to play with the pros could come as early as October."
Any updates on that?
"The grand prize winner will suit up for a game with a local ABA team and will receive an all-expenses paid private tryout to become the first professional athlete ever signed off the Internet."
And who's paying for that?
"Sportsvite is connecting the ABA with thousands of the most enthusiastic athletes and fans in the country," said Joe Newman, ABA co-founder and chairman."
Thousands? Really ... 18 = Thousands
And, no offense to Sportsvite and the ABA AFFILIATES ...
But, I mean ...
That ABA AFFILIATES Program must be really paying off for the ABA?

OHIO SPORTS CLUBS, INC.
Ohio Sports Club, Inc. features over 250 participants ages 18-40 in a variety of basketball leagues ...
How come all these basketball players have not joined in on the contest?
Has the ABA really tried to make this a successful program?
And further, did any of the ABA teams bother to put the contest banner on their website?
(I checked every single ABA team website, no banner on any team's homepage!)
Apparently nobody is really "dreaming" of an opportunity to play in the ABA, with only 18 contestants entering ...
This could have been a HUGE promotional and Fan building opportunity.

Well ... Not much to say.
The ABA gets an " F " for the PlayOn! Sports deal.
You can thank the ABA CEO for that failure!
Poof, another TV deal ...
ABA games to be telecast via CoLours TV

ABA GAMES TO BE TELECAST VIA COLOURS TV NETWORK (29-Oct-2007)

IMO, if you don't have the TV deal up and running by the 1st game of the season ... You get an " F " for that too.
Those ABA Investors have to feel pretty good about the leadership of the ABA CEO!

Magician, I'm no lawyer, but I am curious as to what all of these announcements of seemingly "phantom" big deals that never materialize mean to the SEC.
