First off I would like to say hello to everyone. I just joined.
Secondly, anyone happen to know any players that will be playing Arizona Fall League this season. I have been looking for rosters for a long time. I heard from someone Cole Hamels will be there, is that true? Any help is GREATLY appreciated. If they arent out yet, anyone know when they will be announced?

As far as I know the AFL players aren't decided until after September call-ups are finished and possibly the season in the Minors. The only team that may be predetermined is the US National Team, if they decide to play in the AFL this season.
I think the concept of the AFL is a good idea. Why hasn't Major League Baseball created another league in Florida though? My other question is, is the newly reformed Hawaiian Winter League affiliated with MLB somehow or is the only formal affiliation with Japanese Pro Baseball?

I know that MLB.com does not post rosters until after the minor league season. Usually around this time though is when individual teams will announce who they will be possibly sending. Baseball America is usually the first site with rosters up which usually come between mid to late August.

But I doubt final rosters are determined until after September call-ups. These players wouldn't need to play in the AFL if they're playing in the majors. But maybe I'm wrong, who knows? Another place to check is in Arizona papers around the teams, there might be rosters in there.

True that they arent the final rosters. But they are very accurate. Still about 1/4 of the rosters will dropped out because of Sept. call-ups or injuries or other reasons. checking the papers is actually a very nice idea, thanks.
