Well, it looks like the USBL post season tournament is going to be shown August 8-10 on NBA TV, the announcement is out now. Wish our cable still had NBA TV, would like to see the RiverRaiders 1 more time this year.

Anybody tune in today? I was watching on and off today while at my parents (since I have is stupid cable TV which took away NBA TV quite a while ago).
It wasn't that bad I guess, with the probably 50 people in the stands (I don't know but it was very empty).
One of the biggest complaints I have is hardly showing the score at all on screen during the game..I mean you don't really need it on the screen all the time but maybe every other score would have been nice.
not so fast

I agree about not showing the score, but in addition, the play by play guys rarely did play by play, so it was hard (well at least for me) to know who was who. I mean I wanted to know what player scored or assisted on certain plays since the camera view was sometimes a long way from the court and did not zoom in or show replays enough. On many plays I didn't know who scored and they did a poor job in telling me.
The audience was pathetic (in terms of numbers), I mean heck, we can get that many people in our mens summer league.
Finally, this league has too many guys that come across as thugs. That can't help their attendance much, not to mention those ugly uniforms teams like Pennslyvania wore.
Yeah, the attendance numbers for the early games are never that great (I mean, how many people in Salina Kansas are going to watch Oklahoma vs. Brooklyn) but the best thing about doing a one site, three day event is that the home team will draw well and make up for the other games. The Cagerz played in the feature game the first two nights and drew about 2000 to 2500...the Cagerz in the title game on Sunday would have drawn about 2500-3000 more...you can be successful at about 1700 to 2000 fans so the attendance numbers were not bad.
